Very nice unit
We use this in a Lexus SUV. It fits great in a cup holder and grips the phone well. Recommended.

Simple Design That Really Works Well
This vent mount for a smartphone works really well. I have tried others and found that they slide off the vent. This one stays in place really well and it grips the phone securely. The mount pushes onto any vane of a heating/cooling vent. Be sure to push it on all the way. It has a very strong grip and stays in place really well. The phone holder spreads easily and when released it holds the phone very firmly, in either portrait or landscape configuration. I find it easy to insert the phone; it is easier to do with two hands. E.g. While pulling the right side of the holder outward with your middle finger, use the left side of the phone to push the left side of the holder outward. When you have pushed the two sides of the holder apart sufficiently, simply slide the right side of the phone into the holder and release.I usually use a power cord and attach it before placing the phone in the holder but it can also be connected after the phone is in place. The phone holder rotates in all directions so you can adjust the phone angle. The extent to which you can adjust the phone angle will depend upon the dashboard design. If the dashboard surrounding the vent extends farther out than the vent then it will limit swivel movement.

Slow charge and fall off alot. Great grip on phone though.
Honestly I just wish it didn't fall off as much from the vent. Also if it charged quickly would be great. But overall I love how I can drive hands free and it has a very secure grip on my phone.Cons- whole charger occasionally falls from the car vent while I'm driving. Also 10w charge is rather slow.Positives- Holds the actual phone great! Super easy to install.

Better than expected
My experience with this charger is much more positive than a lot of the reviews. I have been looking for a charger to adequately charge my Samsung Z Flip 3. I have tried 3 chargers so far that did not line up with the battery so I would have to modify the charger leading to the charger not securely holding the device. Yes, the clamping system is a pain and it takes two hands to insert the phone, but once it's in there, it's in there.I bought one of these that was an open box (probably a return) to give it a shot. I have to say, it holds the phone quite secure and the fast charging actually works. This is the first wireless car charger that will charge the device adequately with Google Maps running with the screen always on as well as podcasts streaming. I have to say, I am extremely satisfied with this charger for the device I have. It just actually works.

Not such a good fit on my 2004 4Runner using a Galaxy S8
I have installed this and taken it for a trial drive around my area. I have a 2004 4Runner and my phone is a Samsung Galaxy S8. The S8 seems kind of heavy for the small clip and the clip doesn't feel really secure in the vent. However, driving around and hitting a few potholes didn't shake it loose. It blocks most of the vent so A/C is an issue but on long trips when I have the GPS going it will keep it from overheating, pretty sure about that. The vents in my 4Runner have an adjuster (left-Right/Up-Down) in the center so the back of the phone can't go flat. There are only a few spots on the vent where the clip will hold the phone. Finally, the vent is close to the driver's side so the phone's screen is partially blocked (see picture) by the steering wheel, so I have to shift left a little to see the entire screen.I had hoped for better but I'm going to hang onto it and see how it does on a long trip.

Good quality, but cumbersome to use
I had high hopes for this phone car vent holder. My previous car holder was a small profile magnetic mount, which I loved. However, I recently got a new phone that supports wireless charging. With wireless charging, I can no longer have a metal plate on the back of my phone because it interferes with wireless charging. Thus, I had to find a new car mount that was not magnetic. It took me a while to find a new car vent holder. I wanted something that wasn't magnetic, but was small enough to not take up a lot of room on my dashboard. I didn't want any dash or windshield suction, and definitely not ones where there was a massive, phone-sized cradle. I came across this Belkin car vent holder, which seemed thin with two extendable arms to hold the phone in place. It's still bigger than my small magnetic vent mount, but it was the smallest profile vent holder I could find that didn't rely on magnets. The Belkin is very well made - you can tell the piece is fairly sturdy, and coupled with the strong grip and rubberized padding, the phone is held firmly in place. My primary gripe is that it's quite difficult to put the phone in and remove it. The holder does not stay in place on the vent - as soon as you try to put the phone in by spreading out the expandable arms, the holder moves around on the vent and doesn't stay in place. Same deal with removing the phone. It requires two hand operation, where you use one hand to hold the holder in place while you push the phone into the bracket. When you remove the phone, you have to hold down the holder with your other hand as well, otherwise it'll either come off the vent or move around. Maybe it's an issue specific to the vent design on my car, I don't know. All in all, while the holder looked nice and had solid build quality, the ease of use is not there. It's just far too cumbersome to mount and dismount your phone on a daily basis to be worth the trouble. I ended up returning this holder.

Excellent product
I liked this device as it stayed on the phone and the car. It was not falling off the clip.

A well designed and planned out mobile phone holder.
A well designed and planned out mobile phone holder. We have an R52 Mini Cooper s convertible and have struggled to use suction mount holders as they inherently cover some important information if you use the centre screen or string a charging cable across half of the dash. This process allows a simple position lower than the main central screen and slightly higher than the lower switches. The bottom of the mount sits in one of the cup holders and a ring is rotated to allow expansion into the void thus making a tight fit. It's design allows a charging cable to be routed from behind and a auxiliary cable to be routed into the rear of the glove box to make use of the external input. All in all a great accessory.

So far so good, however
I wanted to get away from the cheap and nasty phone holders that exist in plenty on amazon. At first glance the item looks premium, with a soft touch plastic feel and matte effect plastic. It installs easily enough and seems to hold the phone ok. I have not as yet tested on a long road trip.I will say however that the instructions specifically state that the clamps are to be pushed right over the slats of the vent all the way. However the clamp is short and stubby and therefore that's impossible. I'm using a Golf Mk7, not sure how different that is on other cars.UPDATE- after some use, the holder clamps the phone hard (iPhone 11 pro max) but the hold on the vent slats is not very firm. During driving as long as the phone is not moved that’s fine. If you need to change something on the phone simply remove the phone and holder complete.

Well made if a little expensive
Like the way this holds my phone, couple of littles issues is that the mount will only go in one way if you have a double cup holder like mine, with a small gap in between. The problem is that the top part of the holder does not move and the clamp/ jaws only rotate about 45 degrees either way, so the position you have to have the holder to face forwards is limited,. In the picture you can see that one of the holder clamp adjusters just catches the edge of the drinks holder. The other slight issue is that I have a mobile with a 6 inch screen and it does fits in the space under the dash, I have an Audi, so you will need to check if your cup holders have limited room above them. Tried to Register this product on Belkin website but it would not let me as the item is currently not sold by the, looks like they will be bringing out a new one. They only offer 90 days warranties for returns the same as Amazon, so be aware if yours develops a fault. The price is a bit on the expensive side and is really worth about £15.00 in my personal opinion, Amazon again provides great delivery times and there returns policies are first class. I would recommend this if you want a well made phone holder.

Excellent Phone Holder
I was looking for a good quality phone holder that can withstand the massive potholes we have in Scotland, so I decided to order this one as we were limited to where we can have the phone holder as the Vauxhall Combo Life is a nightmare when finding space to mount a phone holder due to the media unit taking up most of the area in the middle of the vehicle and due to the large storage behind the drivers steering wheel means there was only one place to put a phone holder and that was to use one of the four cup holders the vehicle comes withThe build quality is excellent as Belkin decided to use plastic and metal parts when making this phone holder, and you know it will withstand anything as we do not always have the best roads in Scotland to drive on due to massive potholes that can swallow the whole car and still have room for the next car behind you.I like it so much that I have also ordered the windscreen mount for my work van as it is the same quality parts but just with a suction mount instead, and this can also withstand the roads the van had to drive on when doing deliveries.

Holds phone very well with almost no vibration.
I purchased the cup holder version. For my car, which has no gear lever or handbrake near my cup holders, this works really well. The top of the base twists and expands the base to fit firmly in the cup holder. In my car, the position is ideal as it does not block any controls. You do ideally need both hands to load the phone as the side clips need to be pushed at the same time. So, with one hand, start to open them, then slide the phone in. Many holders are like this, but if you want easy, one handed phone-loading, then it may not be ideal. Once locked into the cup holder, there is plenty of movement. You can spin it like a propeller or twist it to turn the phone flat like a mini table. The only restriction is twisting it left and right. For example, if you position the phone to face you, then you can't twist it right around to the passenger. This is because the ball socket is supported by vertical brackets. This means the phone is very stable, but limits the amount of twisting. For me, I wanted stability and rarely need a passenger to see the phone. They could always fetch it out the holder if essential or you can loosen the grip in the cup holder and twist the whole unit. Overall, very well built, grips the phone well and no phone vibration.
