I love the new island vent over my stovetop. It looks sleek and modern. The lights come on and go off with a wave of my hand. The vent fans work much more efficient and quieter than my old one. The lights are bright and improved the overall look in my small kitchen. I need an instruction manual. I didn’t find one when unpacking, it either wasn’t there or got thrown out with the packaging. I can’t work the touch pad without instructions. My contractor installed it without complications.

Wondering how LOUD this is? I was too! After installation, I used a sound pressure meter to record the decibel level of each fan speed (see attached reference chart). HIGH = 45 dB, MEDIUM = 41 dB, LOW = 32 dB These measurements were taken 2 feet from the front of the cooktop with the meter held 5 feet off the floor and pointed upward toward the exhaust hood at a 45° angle. I should mention that I purchased a near identical model 14 years ago. This new model is slightly more powerful, has some silly hand-motion features that mostly work (that I won't use) and is arguably better in every way except the new chimney is a much thinner gauge metal with square corners and double seams similar to the cheap duct work under your house (I tossed the new chimney out and reused the old seamless chimney with rounded edges and heavier gauge metal as shown in video). Most people won't care and they shouldn't. I read reviews that complained of the flexible 6" duct inside the chimney making noise, so I tossed that out too and reused the original 6" solid metal pipe. One improvement that I hope works well is the newly designed grease trap style filters. The old aluminum mesh screen probably wasn't as good of a design for removing grease from the air. BOTH styles should be removed and run though your dishwasher every week, in any case. Overall, I'm very pleased and hope that it lasts for a while even though it actually costs a bit LESS than the near identical model purchased in 2011. Hope this helps!

It's a very modern and stylish stove vent. We love the features that allow you to control the speed of the venting. It's a very quiet unit as well. Say nothing about the price—it is very affordable and of good quality. We highly recommend it.

Had this hood vent installed and it works great. I just love the design and how good it looks in my kitchen.

Worked for 15 mins then fan stopped working. Makes a humming sound as if the fan is trying to spin but doesn’t. Such a headache to go through the install then have to replace it.

Seller had to resend me a new unit because the glass hood was shattered. They responded quickly and sent a new unit via Fed ex. Not for novice DIY installation but doable if you are handy
