This is a terrific indoor grill. We originally bought this in 2021 to make Korean bbq at home - and it worked great for that! But we don't eat K-bbq all that often and, quite honestly, forgot that the grill existed. Then, last month, when our grill pan once again generated enough smoke to fill the kitchen, I was just about to search for an alternative - when I remembered this electric tabletop grill, just hiding out in our pantry. After dusting it off and plugging it in, we were in business! We've now used it at least eight times in two weeks, and it couldn't be easier. It heats very quickly and maintains a solidly hot surface. Food - from vegetables to all kinds of meat - cooks fast and evenly; there are no "hot spots" on the grill. Perhaps best of all, the grill surface cleans off ridiculously easily. I'm used to having to fight with our grill pan to get it clean (and I remember the days of "scraping" our George Foreman grill with the little plastic tool), so to have any oil or residue virtually slide off the surface is remarkable. It's not too hot after use. It's simple to store and pull out. The 14" is a great size for our needs. It's become an absolute must-have in our kitchen. So glad I remembered that this grill existed!

Received the grill, well packed, very well made, I like the large grease cup that catches the grease, non stick, easy to clean, I really like the glass lid, that keeps the heat in and keeps grease from splattering on counter. heats up very fast, I have used it to grill chicken breast, which turned out great. A +++

Finally threw my old George Foreman in the trash and bought this item. All of the positive reviews (thousands) proved to be true...I love this thing! So easy to clean, assemble, and disassemble. I use it almost everyday and now just gave it a permanent spot on my counter top. What a value for the money!

I just received this item and used it as soon as I could wash it and preheat it. I marinated chicken breasts in anticipation of receiving the grill. It is so easy to use. It's a perfect size and price. I wanted something simple to operate and easy to clean. It grilled my chicken perfectly then I took the grill piece when it cooled and put it in the dishwasher. It cleaned up beautifully. It's not bulky so I found a spot in the kitchen to store it because I plan on using it a lot. I do all the cooking and grilling and I was tired of running outside to the big gas grill while trying to do the inside cooking as well. I can grill in the winter now, too. It was entirely smokeless because of the water tray under the grill. I wish I had bought one of these sooner. The cord is a decent length, not like the really short ones, so you can move it away from the wall a little. There are just two of us so there is more than enough room for our needs, and plenty of room for more.

The only thing I didn't like about the grill was that Amazon ships it in it's retail packaging without any packing around it, I mean come on it has a glass lid, and the first one I received the box had a hole in it and the knob was smashed to bits, but the replacement came quickly and was also shipped in retail package, no box. As far as the grill goes, it's awesome, after initial clean and setup I lightly brushed the cooking surface with olive oil and it came up to 400 temp pretty fast, then I threw on a few batches of veggies and dogs and everything cooked fast and thoroughly, can't wait to try steaks on it. Little smoke but I was smart and used it outside, cleaning was a cinch but don't forget about the grease catch as it's kind of hidden in the base and easy to miss.

I put in a lot of time and research reviewing electric grills and decided on the Elite Gourmet EMG-980B Smokeless Electric Tabletop Grill - and so glad I did! I want that grill look and taste that you don't get from the frying pan or stove and reviewed grills from $30 to $200+. Price wasn't as much of an issue but I definitely wanted the value. Why pay too much when it seems an electric grill basically works the same way...it heats up on a grill plate. But don't get me wrong...this is my food we are talking about and I'm willing to pay a higher price for a higher grade of quality. I came across the Elite Gourmet 14-inch smokeless electric grill (EMG-980B) and compared to numerous brands and models - and this is why I chose Elite Gourmet: The Price: The price wasn't my biggest consideration but even when reviewing high-end grills at much higher costs, the EMG-980B still came out on top. Quite honestly, you cannot beat this unbelievable value. Electric Power/Watts/Temperature: This model works at 1300 watts and 450 degrees where the vast majority seem to be at 1000 watts. This assures me the true temperature reaches the level it needs to be at regardless of what it says on the dial. Watts matter. The Cover: The most simplest thing matters the most for an electric grill - and that is the lid (cover). Many electric grills do not have one and it is essential when using your electric grill to distribute the heat when cooking. Take it off near the end for the full grill look and taste. Grill Quality of the Plate: In reading so many reviews of various products, one of the chief complaints was the grill did not distribute heat evenly or reach the stated temperature. This grill plate cooks evenly throughout the plate. Even better is that the grill plate heats up immediately - there is literally no wait time. Pretty impressive. Plate Type: Most models had flat grills where this model has ridges. To be honest, I thought I would have preferred the flat grill but after cooking meat skewers and steaks, I see why the ridges are absolutely better - it allows the grease to separate and go to the outer ring and drip pan. Also, it leaves grill marks on your steak which looks like you actually cooked it on the outdoor BBQ grill. Plate Size: Elite Gourmet has three sizes (11-inch, 12-inch and 14-inch). I ordered the 14-inch plate thinking maybe I should have went with the 12-inch - but glad I went with the 14-inch as it is perfect when cooking a couple steaks and/or adding various veggies around the plate. I'm glad I didn't order the 12-inch. The 14-inch is just right. And for some odd reason, the 14-inch was less money than the 12-inch - so scored even better on that one! Non-Stick and Easy to Clean: The marketing states this grill is non-stick and easy to clean. My first use was cooking BBQ pork skewers and sure enough, the plate is nonstick and easy to clean as advertised. I simply wiped down the plate to remove the BBQ sauce char (and garlic) with ease. It made it quick and easy to use the grill right away for my veggies. A+ Smokeless Grill Just about every electric grill claims theirs is smokeless - but it basically is just a form of marketing magic. Now when you cook with the lid/cover on, it is essentially smokeless (until you remove the lid). However, it is pretty unrealistic to expect any type of cooking device to be "smokeless" as it is a matter of physics. Unless there is some sort of air induction feature, this is basically the same for all types of models. Value: I challenge anyone to find a better electric grill than this one based on the quality alone but take into consideration the price point, you simply cannot beat the overall value. There is a reason the Elite Gourmet Electric Grill is an Amazon Choice product.

We are in love with this grill!!! I have grilled steaks burgers pork chops veggies. Just the right size. I can grill meat with veggies. Clean up is a dream. Warm soapy water I use an olive oil spray on the surface prior to grilling. Definitely worth the purchase!!

El sabor de la comida es muy bueno con y sin aceite; probé con algunos filetes de salmon y verduras y es fenomenal. Casi tan bueno como una parrilla de carbón. Además la superficie en donde se coloca no recibe el calor de la parrilla. Todo se desmonta y es fácil limpiarla. El recubrimiento de la parrilla se ve un poco delicado; definitivamente hay que elegir una esponja suave para lavarlo.

To me what makes a grill perfect are four essential aspects: heat, size, a cover, and ease of cleaning. Especially for the latter, I always felt lied to when told those non-detachable grills were "easy-to-clean", and often wondered why manufacturers didn't make grills that could be disassembled for cleanup. Well, this grill does just that: you can easily take it apart completely and wash all of the individual components in the sink or in the dishwasher. Its size is great for grilling all your meats in one go (if I had to guess, the diameter is about 50cm). I only used it once, but it heated quickly and I was able to prepare boneless chicken thighs in about 15 minutes. There was very little smoke and spill when cooking, thanks in large part to the lid, and the end result was satisfactory to my liking. My only qualm is the length of the power cord: the reason is mentioned in the manual (to avoid tripping, if I recall correctly), but it feels like such a BS motive. I'm lucky the outlet is close to the stovetop so I can place the grill under the exhaust hood, but the manufacturer could have spared an extra foot of cord and made this a perfect product.

Wow 👏 am in love with this piece of machine it arrived this morning and im already dancing/ cooking with it im on a diet and so I can't use any form of oils and this little machine is so good for that juat place your meat or veggies on and boom 💥 it's done to perfection heats up in seconds and the temp control is nice very east to pull apart and wash. I would recommend anyone who wants privacy to grill indoor and in the winter time.
