LOVE!
LOVE this! It's better than Cream of Wheat! Here is a recipe I use and love (but I don't use the banana, and I substitute rice milk for almond milk): Banana Almond Teff Porridge Prep time 2 mins Cook time 20 mins Total time 22 mins Author: Brittany Mullins Serves: 4 Ingredients • 1 cup whole grain teff • 1½ cups water • 1½ cups Almond Breeze unsweetened vanilla almond milk • 1 Tablespoon extra-virgin, unrefined coconut oil • ¼ tsp ground cinnamon • 1 banana, sliced (save a few slices for topping) • ¼ tsp sea salt • ¼ cup crushed or sliced almonds • maple syrup (optional for drizzling on top) Instructions 1. Bring a heavy saucepan to medium heat. Add teff, water, almond milk, coconut oil, cinnamon, banana slices and sea salt to the pan. Stir well to combine. 2. Bring the mixture to a boil. Once boiling, turn the heat to medium-low, cover and cook at a simmer for 15-20 minutes. Make sure you give the mixture a stir from time to time to prevent the teff from sticking. If the mixture gets too thick, you can add more water or almond milk but I didn’t need any extra. 3. Once the teff has cooked and the texture is to your liking, portion into bowls. Top each bowl with a sprinkle of almonds, extra banana slices and a drizzle of maple syrup, if desired. Different, tasty, interesting
At first I thought something was wrong when I turned off the flame and noticed the pot was still full of water. I was expecting to see a grain and no water similar to rice. So I turned the flame back on, slid the lid over to allow the steam to escape and after 15 more minutes there was still lot of water. I turned the flame off and let it sit, but not before sampling a teaspoon full. Interesting nutty flavor but nothing spectacular. I decided to add a half cup of golden raisins and a half cup of Trader Joe's dried cranberries with orange flavoring. Long story short, after the Teff cooled it absorbed all the water and became somewhat gelatinous. I scooped out a quarter cup and enjoyed a warm semi sweet nutty goodness. I stored the remaining teff in the refrigerator and enjoyed one half of it with my morning oatmeal. The combination of teff, dried cranberries, raisins and oatmeal was excellent. Definitely let the teff take time to absorb the water and cool in the refrigerator. I'm always adding raisins and/or dried cranberries and slivered almonds or walnuts.

Great!
Teff is our new favorite hot cereal in cold winter weather. It takes a while to cook (over a half hour at 8,800 feet), but the sticking issue some folks have a problem with can be easily solved by adding more water than called for (we use a 4/1 ratio water to teff), and using a larger pot than usual for other grains like oatmeal. Just keep a casual eye on it and stir occasionally while doing other morning chores... you don't have to stand over it if it's cooking on a low flame. It's delicious with only a pat of butter, and stays with you for hours. Highly recommended.

Good stuff
I had never had teff before and I am always looking for an alternative to quinoa because as the trend has gone up, so has the price, and lets not even get started on what our trendy health eating has done for environmental impact, (or what the news tells us...who knows) Either way, this was not a substitute for quinoa, but it does however, make awesome hot cereal, power bowls, baking flour, etc. It's a nutritional powerhouse, and I personally enjoy it. Bob's is good on quality, and this stuff is delicious.

High Quality Product
I purchased these teff grains as I was looking for a gluten-free option for breakfast. I had seen some YouTube videos as to how to prepare a hot porridge from them but as these grains aren't easily available in grocery stores I started looking online. Pleased I finally did track this merchant provider-I expect to be purchasing more as it's delicious and gives me great sustained energy. Thank you!

Good product at a fair price
I read of the health benefits of Teff. This is my 1st experience with it. I found it a little tricky to cook; easy to overcook it. As expected, the taste is bland. Add honey, nuts, cinnamon, or something to give it taste. Nothing wrong with it, but personally I think I'll stick with Quinoa.

Good but 1/2 the price at your local grocery store!
I had never heard of teff and stumbled on it looking for another good grain to incorporate into my diet. I really like it as pilaf and am excited to try it as cereal. My only issue is the same brand and size is only $8 at my local Ralphs - I wish I had checked there first. Whomp whomp...Hopefully this review will save someone a few dollars.
