Love this case! Wish I had purchased it a long time ago!
I bought this magazine case for my nylon belt, and it has the tactical look (which is what I was hoping for)! Prior to purchasing this case, I was unsure about the look as it was described as "STX Black." I knew that Safariland makes different color options (leather, plain, basket weave, etc), and I needed the tactical style for my nylon belt. I figured I'd purchase this one and hope that it was the tactical look, and luckily it was! Now I don't have to return it! It's about half the size of my old nylon case, so it saves more room on the belt, and actually feels lighter for some reason! Out of the box, the tension is great for my Glock 17 mags, however, I did tighten the tension screw just a hair to be on the safe side, as I'm usually on foot with my dog. The past 10 years I've always had my mags facing inward with the closed button flaps, so it does take a little practice getting used to pulling the mag out with it facing forward (thanks to muscle memory). It's nice because it saves time allowing me to get the mag out quicker for reloads. I'm very pleased with this case and would recommend it to anyone in law enforcement. Plus the price is excellent!

Great for duty
I'm fairly slim and this helped free up limited space on my duty belt and retains magazines well.

Safariland STX Slimline Open Top Double Mag Pouch
So I bought this already knowing that I wanted the "slimline" mag pouch. I had a three mag pouch that oriented the magazines with the ammunition facing outward, but it had flip button tops that went over the tops of the magazines. Knowing I needed to slim down (33' waist) and get some more real estate on the belt it was the obvious choice.Checking the Safariland website it does not show the choice firearm that I have (M&P .40 Fullsize) so I was unsure of which one to buy. The website only has the designation for the M&P 45. Without getting any definate answers that if the magazines would fit snugly in the pouch I took a leap and ordered the ones that were designated for the Sigma. The Sigma being the trial and error of the M&P, I figured the magazines would fit.I ordered the model number 79-83-13 and it arrived today, with my prime 2-day shipping of course. Magazines fit great and I was able to tighten down the tension screw and there is enough friction to keep them in place in the instance of a good foot chase. More trial and error will be done with the this mag pouch, being my third one, and I will update as needed.Construction is overall great but be aware to get it on a duty belt takes a little bit of time since it is a snug pass through system. The belt system is the only reason for it not making 5 stars.

Safest mag carrier so far.
I've used plenty of mag carriers during my military/law enforcement career and having fast access to your ammunition can be key to survival. I recently switched to a nylon setup for patrol since it's lighter and allowed on the pd. However I was shocked to find out that the nylon mag carrier had a dangerously huge flaw, the glock magazine would catch on the stitching at the top of the magazine carrier during deployment. Seeing as the gen 4 magazines are set up for ambidextrous use, it not only caught on one side but both. In my opinion this is an extremely huge drawback if you enjoy living and staying in the fight, so long story short this mag carrier is not only higher quality but I would trust this one with my life. It will never collapse, magazines will absolutely never hang during deployments, its tension is adjustable, the orientation of the magazine is perfect for the finger to bullet tip mag change and the near 3 inches I save on my duty belt is priceless. I'm typically a very uniform individual but when my life depends on the specifics, I'll run the stx finish on my nylon setup all day long.

Fits Clock 19 and applicable mags
Fits great, doesn’t slide around much unless you want it too. Holds mags securely but not too tight. You can turn the pouch upside down and shake without the mags falling out. Fits G19 metal and plastic mags. Also fits applicable mags.
