Aliens Epic Collection: The Original Years Vol. 1

The first two films, Alien and Aliens are classics. After that the producers lost their minds and killed the cash cow. They could have created a franchise better and than Star Ship Troopers . But Dark Horse Publishing saw the potential that Hollywood missed and created a mythos far more enduring and nightmarish than anything we saw on the screen. The art is not always consistent. Sometimes it boarders on lazy. And the dialog gets too chatty. Especially in the last story in this set. But that is not bad enough to spoil the book. If anything, it makes you hungry for the next one.

A solid selection of aliens comics in one package.My only disappointment was that Amazon somehow got syrup on my copy while packaging it. :(

Finalmente a excepcional trilogia "Aliens" de Mark Verheiden para a Dark Horse Comics ganha compilação definitiva no formato Marvel Epic Collection! E na versão correta, com Newt e Hicks como protagonistas, ao invés da grotesca mudança de nomes da versão 'remasterizada' (Billie e Wilkes). As artes de Mark A. Nelson e Dennis Beauvais para as duas primeiras séries são maravilhosas, mas nunca consegui curtir os desenhos de Sam Kieth para a 3a história. De qualquer forma, um volume recomendado para todos os fãs da franquia!

This is a collection of the classic Aliens comic series originally produced by Dark Horse. Lovingly re-printed by Marvel, this will appeal to nostalgic fans who read these in the early 90s. I'll be buying volume 2 onwards for sure. Saddle up Apone!
