The Meross smoke detector is delivered neatly packaged. Inside the box we find two screws to fix it to the wall, the fixing bracket and the detector (obviously) well protected by an additional layer of bubble wrap. This item arrives with the batteries included and sealed already inside the product. I have not tried to disassemble it but I believe that when they are exhausted, it will not be possible to replace them. However, the manufacturer declares 10 years of duration. The smoke detector itself is very nice and well made, definitely more beautiful than any other smoke detector seen around (personal opinion). The lines are simple and the materials above average. I very much appreciated that it is a nice matte white and not shiny. This makes it look a non-cheap and makes it suitable for almost any type of décor. Its dimensions are approximately 11.5cm in diameter and less than 2.5cm thick. After fixing the bracket to the wall, a rotation of the detector on the bracket will be enough to fix it. This will also cause the detector itself to be automatically turned on thanks to the switch located on the back and moved by the bracket itself. Trying to run the test, the emitted sound is on average loud but not the loudest of all and there is also a small flashing LED. Let's say 4.5 stars, it would be 4 because it is not possible to replace the battery but 5 because this has been clearly stated by the manufacturer. I really hope it will never be necessary to update this review to let you know if it worked or not :)

After hours of arguing with my partner, who wanted a completely invisible smoke alarm, regardless of whether it could actually save lives in a fire, we compromised with this. It’s obviously not invisible, but the closest I could find. Plain, modern and minimalist, with only a small brand logo and vent holes on its face. The permanent 10 year battery makes it easy to install, and means we won’t be having that stupid conversation again for a decade.

The best thing about this smoke detector is you can set it and forget it. It has a 10-year battery life, and it will warn you when the battery gets low, so you don't have to keep replacing the battery, but best of all you don't have to remember to test it every few weeks, because it has a self-testing facility. The instructions also provide a helpful plan of the average home, with locations where you should have a smoke detector (sleeping areas and escape routes like staircases and hallways) and places where you shouldn't put one (above the stove or the shower for example). Unlike other Meross devices, this is not one you can control with your smartphone, but then you don't need to. It detects the level of light in the room and dims the LED in dark rooms so if you're sleeping and don't want the LED, or if you're not in the room and don't NEED the LED, it won't be on. The alarm sound is nice and loud, and one good feature is to turn off the alarm you don't have to find some tiny button to press, because the whole smoke detector is the button. you just push anywhere on the casing. I did spend some time hunting for a button before reading the instructions and realising the whole casing is the button... felt a bit silly! So, it does what a smoke detector is supposed to do, and it does it well, but it lost a star for being a bit on the expensive side, and because the battery is not replaceable so you have to throw the device away when the battery dies (although after 10 years that's not too bad really).

Great, neat slimline alarm. Easy to install but a template for the fixing plate would be nice. This would help get the logo straight when fixing the alarm face. UPDATE: 10 year battery lasted less than 12 months! Refunded by Amazon without quibble.

Since my old smoke alarm stopped working, I went onto Amazon to look for a new one, and this one from Meross caught my eye. In the pictures it looked very slim and stylish, and the battery life is an incredible 10 years! I ordered it and received it a few days ago. It was well packaged in a simple box, and upon opening I was surprised that the alarm was even smaller, and looked even more stylish than in the pictures. It came packaged with a small instruction manual, but to be honest its pretty self explanatory. I only just got around to fixing it up onto the ceiling. You can see from the video that the test worked fine, and the alarm tone is long, pulsing sound, rather than the short, rapid beeping that many older alarms have. All in all, there is not much I can say about something as simple as a smoke alarm. It looks good, works well, and I don't have to worry about changing the battery. I recommend!

It comes well presented in a good looking box I know this doesn't make any difference to how it works but hopefully gives some indication of a quality product. The unit itself looks quite slim and is aproximately 5 inches across, it's very easy to fit only needing two screws to fasten it to the ceiling. It was a bit awkward getting the unit lined up to the base plate at first but not a big hassle. Sounds very loud and should be more than capable of waking you up, the flashing red light is barely noticable either. Good instruction booklet with it as well. Time will tell if the battery last the ten years and hopefully it will never be used for real.

Lieferumfang: Der Lieferumfang entspricht den Angaben. Es ist alles dabei was benötigt wird. Neben der Bedienungsanleitung auf Englisch und Deutsch sind die Schrauben und Dübel zur Befestigung des Montagerings vorhanden. Ausstattung: Zur Ausstattung kann ich sagen, dass ich die vollflächige Taste wirklich toll finde, und dies nicht mehr missen möchte. Im Gegensatz zu meinen bisherigen Rauchwarnmeldern, die nur eine verhältnismäßig winzige Taste besitzen, ist dies Gold wert. Design: Bzgl. Des Designs bin auch auch sehr begeistert. Verglichen zu meinen vorhandenen ist vor allem die schlanke Bauform angenehm. Sehr dezent, mit seinen 24mm Höhe, was auch sehr der konstruktiven Lösung des Montagerings zu verdanken ist, der quasi beim Aufhängen im Melder verschwindet. Kein klobiger Klotz, wie ich sie bisher kenne, stattdessen schlicht und elegant. Funktion: Bei einem herbeigeführten Probealarm war ich von der Lautstärke positiv überrascht. Dies mag jetzt absolut subjektiv sein, doch ich empfand ihn lauter als meine vorhandenen. Im Ernstfall ist das ja auch absolut kein Fehler. Ich muss aber gestehen, daß ich den Aufwand eines direkten Vergleichs nicht durchgeführt habe. Doch durch etliche Fehlalarme unserer vernetzten Rauchwarnmeldern bin ich der Meinung, dies so wahrnehmen zu können. Bzgl. des Nachtmodus, bzw. der Dämmung der LED kann ich nicht wirklich was positives aber auch nichts negatives sagen. Vielleicht bin ich da nicht sensibel genug, denn ich habe bisher keine Zustands-LED für zu hell, bzw. als störend empfunden, auch nicht Nachts. Die Selbsttestfunktion kann ich nicht abschätzen, dafür müsste ich die potentiellen Fehler künstlich herbeiführen, was sich schlecht von Außen realisieren ließe. Alles in Allem ein tolles Produkt.

Prodotto di ottima qualità. Meross continua a crescere e produrre prodotti adatti anche al mercato italiano. Design compatto ed essenziale che si abbina bene ad arredamenti moderni. Non necessita di ulteriori batterie poiché viene fornito già di una batteria che è dichiarata ben 10 anni. Si può attaccare al soffitto o ad una parete e si sconsiglia di usarlo in cucina per evitare falsi allarmi durante la cottura dei cibi. Per valutare se sia correttamente in funzione occorre esercitare una pressione sul disco ed emetterà un suono intermittente. Presenta anche un led rosso nel vano interno quando la sirena è in funzione. Facile da installare e penso che anche con un buon biadesivo si tenga poiché è leggerissimo. Penso che sia essenziale installarlo sopratutto in abitazioni dove si utilizzano stufe a combustione o elettriche per il riscaldamento e specialmente se sono accese di notte. Difetti non ne ho trovati ancora ma sono pronto a rivedere la recensione qualora ve ne saranno.

Détecteur de fumée élégant pas son profil plutôt plat. Le détecteur est livré complet avec les vis et chevilles mais aussi une pile incluse (durée de vie donnée à 10 ans). Fiche de déclaration de conformité européenne. Marquage CE. Le + : la led de fonctionnement s'éteint dans la noir du fait d'un capteur de lumière. C'est idéal si vous le mettez dans une zone de nuit. Pas de pile 9 v à remplacer souvent comme dans les autres détecteurs. Le - (pour démarrer) : les instructions d'utilisation sont en anglais ou allemand. Aide : Pour l'ouvrir > rentrer une pointe dans le trou sur le côté pour pouvoir faire tourner la partie grise (coté étiquette) dans le sens anti horaire. Pour le mettre en route > faire glisser l'interrupteur vers la gauche. Vous entendrez un petit bruit et verrez la led rouge. Fixer la partie grise au mur ou plafond puis remettre le détecteur sur la partie grise et tourner cette fois ci dans le sens horaire. Pour faire un test > appuyer sur le détecteur comme sur un bouton poussoir pendant 3 Sec minimum. Vous entendrez la sirène de test. Relâcher pour arrêter le test. Il est conseillé de faire un test régulièrement comme tout détecteur.

La consegna è stata effettuata nella data prevista in confezione integra; il packaging è ben fatto e trasmette qualità; Il sensore sembra di ottimo materiale, e al tatto da un'impressione di solidità in rapporto alla leggerezza dell'oggetto. Nonostante manchi un manuale in italiano, l'installazione è semplice anche se aggiungerei una dima per facilitare ulteriormente l'istallazione, e una volta installato la sua presenza non disturba anzi, lo trovo parecchio elegante. Ho effettuato dei test e devo dire che la sirena si fa sentire e con decisione. Ottimo direi.
