Surprisingly good 👍
I purchased 2 of these as birthday presents for our twin 8 yo boys. I was a tad dubious as the parts are very small but, with a little help from their eager dad, they are having great fun. The instructions are not particularly clear- which is where dad's help was important! Indoors, use the battery option rather than solar power. For assembly, have a good flat surface and a handy box for the bags of bits - plus, a good dose of patience...... There are a couple of useful videos on YouTube - search "OMWay STEM Robot". Very reasonably priced and quick delivery.

A Fun and Educational Gift – My Kids Love It!
I bought the OMWay STEM 12-in-1 Solar Robot Toys kit for my son, and I have to say, we’re both really impressed! He’s 10, and had so much fun building all the different robots. I love how it mixes fun with learning – he’s picking up concepts about solar energy, mechanics, and robotics, but in a way that doesn’t feel like “learning.” What’s even better is that his younger brother, who’s 7, joined in too. Now they’re both building robots together and helping each other out. It’s really great to see them working as a team and spending quality time together. The fact that everything runs on solar energy is awesome. It’s eco-friendly, and it’s a great way to introduce them to the idea of renewable energy in a simple way. The robot assembly is easy enough for them to follow the instructions on their own, so I don’t need to get too involved. This is the perfect gift! My kids love it, and they play with it almost every day. They’re still not bored of it, so if you’re looking for an educational and fun gift for your kids, I highly recommend this kit.

A great Constuction Kit.
The item was a gift for a 10 year old boy who loved it, and has already made one of the variations that are available.

Rubbish
Utter rubbish. Let’s start with the in boxing, took an hour to pop out and sort all the pieces which my son got bored of after 5 mins. Then to building the gear box. The manufacturing quality is so poor the gears don’t line up properly so the don’t all turn. The green gear moves about and doesn’t connect into the white gear. Wasted money and time. This was a Christmas present we just got round to playing with so can’t get a refund either

A lot of effort needed
I helped an 8 year old to assemble one of these and found the assembly instructions clear enough, except the battery option instructions which were quite vague. Grown up help is definitely required. We originally assembled it using the solar power option, but it didn't work, even in bright sunlight. But we switched to the battery option which worked fine. The robot is mechanical, with gears and a small motor. Only two small cables in the whole model. No control or programming required. No on/off switch, so it goes forward in a straight line if the cables are attached to the battery, and stops if the cables are disconnected. Some of the pieces are small and fiddly and need more strength and dexterity than an 8 year old can manage. Some pieces are a bit fragile. The kid had fun, but it isn't one of his favourite kits. Happy with the value for money at around £15
