Didn't solve my problem inlet water valve was the problem
This seal did not prevent toilet bowel from leaking. Problem turned out to be the inlet water valve was sticking preventing the waste value from properly closing. I recommend overhauling the water valve when you replace waste seal

Great product... but use Plumber's grease for upper seal
So easy to install, but make sure you use lots of plumber's grease on the upper seal. I didn't and it leaked. I tried again, but used the grease and it worked perfectly!One last piece of advice… find a YouTube video explaining how to install it. The first one I found taught you to replace it without taking the toilet apart. I spent 30 minutes trying to do that and almost dropped the new seal into the black tank multiple times. Ignore that video. Find the video where you remove the toilet and take it apart. Takes about 15 minutes and you’ll then replace both bowl seal and floor seal flange as well. Again… use lots of plumbers grease.

There are different brands
The first seal I ordered wasn't the correct one. I got a refund and ordered this one. It comes with two seals. One for the bottom of the toilet and the one I needed, inside the toilet just above the plastic ball that opens to flush. The part is very stiff and not real easy to put in. I did find its easier if you don't hold the foot petal down. Then you don't have to worry about dropping it into the abyss. I put lube on the seal and that's the only way I could get it into the slot. It works perfectly. The bowl holds water again.

Fits and functions well
Fits my Thetford 42070 rv toilet perfect.Gotta grease it up to get it in place. It’s a pretty nasty job. Totally worth it to not have those smells coming up into our fifth wheel and water constantly leaking down into the tanks.

Does not fit my Thetford Aqua Magic Style Plus toilet
This item uses the correct Thetford part number for my toilet but the ball seal does not properly seal, allowing the water to quickly drain out. I obtained a genuine Thetford seal and it fits much better and works like it should.Beware that this is an improperly made part and likely won’t work, wasting a lot of your time and effort.
