Ravensburger James Rizzi: City 5000 Piece Puzzle

We started with a 500 piece puzzle, worked up to a 1,000 piece Time Square one, then a very difficult 2,000 piece Vegas Strip one. Adequate preparation for this monster? No! Firstly - as other reviewers have mentioned - this puzzle is huge! We put two collapsible tables together, with large cardboard pieces on top, in the middle of our front room. It works well - but takes up the whole space! remember you need space for the puzzle as well as space to build so need a very large, flat space to put this on.Secondly - quality is excellent. We've had Ravensburger puzzles before but this thing really kicks it up a few notches in quality. The pieces are very thick, strong cardboard. There is a very nice linen finish to the picture side of the pieces. All pieces fit together perfectly. It's top notch.The puzzle itself is a joy to put together. James Rizzi's crazy artwork is great for a jigsaw - and the sheer size of it just makes it more fun! He uses the same color for several elements in the picture which makes this a fun but challenging puzzle to work on. It is a very large puzzle though so is definitely in the "advanced" category - in both difficulty and time to complete.The only criticism I have is there is no poster inside with the complete picture on (like we have had with other puzzles from other manufacturers). This means the only guide you have is the front of the box. This is a problem for two reasons:1) If more than one of you is working on the puzzle, you fight over who gets the box to refer to :-)2) The box picture has a jigsaw piece of artwork and a ravensburger blue triangle over it - so those areas are completely obscured. This makes filling in those bits of the puzzle almost impossible. We found some pictures of the artwork online so one used the box and the other used their phone but for a puzzle of this size and this price - they really could have thrown a small sized poster in...All in all this is the best puzzle we have worked on to date and - provided you have room for it - I would absolutely recommend it.

I really like puzzles. This puzzle is a real challenge. The colors and the picture make this puzzle an extra challenge. Added to the fact that it is a 5,000 piece puzzle.

Have work several 5000 piece Ravensburger puzzles and thought this would be the easiest. Wrong! This may be the hardest. Puzzle is good quality as usual but did have one broken piece.

Fun & challenging puzzle. I assembled this puzzle in thirds. First, the top section of buildings; then, the cars; and finally, the people on the bottom.

All process associated with tha purchase was satisfactory.High quality in the pieces of the puzzle.We had began the assembly and to enjoy this issue.

Typical Ravensburger quality. Awesome puzzle...fun and challenging. Colorful, great detail. I had to refer to the picture on the box almost constantly. Fun all the same.

This was a gi-normous puzzle and great fun. The pieces were detailed and exceptional color. Not something you should plan to do over a long weekend! We are real puzzle lovers and even this one challenged us. Definitely a great sense of accomplishment when we inserted the last piec

All the family helped. Its sitting in my dinning room. No one believes at first sight that is a puzzle. Wish the New York puzzle was 5000 pieces too!

Wer sich wie wir aus Geldmangel keinen echten James Rizzi leisten kann, hängt „ihn“ sich halt als zusammengesetztes Puzzle in einem Bilderrahmen an die Wand. Ist zwar nicht ganz so wertvoll und wertig wie ein Original, aber immerhin holt man sich somit ein farbenfrohes und schönes Motiv „mit künstlerischem Hintergrund“ ins Haus.Das Geduldspiel aus dem Hause Ravensburger kommt in bewährter Qualität. Eine angenehme Haptik und die einwandfreie Verarbeitung - kein Teil was bei der Ausstanzung beschädigt wurde – zeichnen nicht nur dieses, sondern eigentlich alle von uns bisher gelegten Puzzles aus dem Hause Ravensburger aus. (Puzzle)Qualität hat eben einen Namen.Wenn nur das Umdrehen und vorsortieren der Teile soooo anstrengend und zeitaufwändig wäre...Was soll man sonst noch rezensieren? Nun, die Geschmäcker sind halt verschieden - den einen gefällt das Motiv, anderen nicht. Uns gefällt es. Daher uneingeschränkte Kaufempfehlung.

Da appassionata di puzzle, questo qui mi ha da subito conquistata. Nonostante il numero di pezzi l'ho trovato fattibile, questo perché si riesce a suddividere in diverse sezioni (auto, spazio bianco, persone, grattacieli, ecc.) e portarle avanti in autonomia, l'importante è avere ad un certo punto il giusto spazio per completarlo. A me non piace appendere i puzzle ma, appena finito, l'ho trovato perfetto per il mio salotto e quasi tutti mi hanno detto di aver pensato si trattasse di una stampa. Per appenderlo non serve un patrimonio, basta comprare nei posti tipo Brico un pezzo di compensato su misura che costa davvero una sciocchezza. Personalmente una volta finito ho usato la colla Ravensburger e la cosa mi ha aiutato a rigirare il puzzle per poter poi passarci su la colla vinilica e attaccarlo sul compensato. In ogni caso è appeso in salotto da 5 anni ed è impeccabile come il primo giorno.

il commento personale è che ADORO questo puzzle. E' coloratissimo, simpaticissimo, in una parola: meraviglioso!E' Ravensburger e gli incastri sono perfetti. Poiché si tratta di un puzzle da 5000 pezzi, non è comodissimo da movimentare, vi consiglio di avere una zona deputata alla sua realizzazione, io ho fatto un "vassoio" in legno capace di contenerlo e, qualora ce ne fosse bisogno, movimentarlo. Non è scontato che finiate l'opera in poco tempo, pertanto è un accorgimento che ho trovato utile.Tornando al puzzle, ho trovato piacevolissimo il bordo bianco: una volta appeso a parete dona eleganza all'opera.
