Respro Techno Anti-Pollution Mask - Large - Pink

I have been using this mask for the past 4 months while doing work in China. If you use it even at a normal walking pace, after a few minutes the mask becomes caked with respiration. The pink neoprene part makes the mask hot and difficult to breathe. Additionally, it is not very effective. Despite using the mask every time I leave the house, my smog-induced asthma flares when I am outside. While wearing the mask, I can still smell everything, including cigarette smoke, car exhaust, and durian. I think the reason it is not effective is the two 1 inch holes on the sides. The holes are covered by two plastic pieces (the black circles) but these areas do not filter the air that comes through.

So I am a newly diagnosed asthmatic, and I wanted to get something that I could wear when I go to music festivals or cleaning around the house. I was kind of bummed because my package came opened already and it was supposed to come with an additional insert and it only came with the one. It is well made, but maybe a little big for my face, but I can get it tight enough that it provides a good seal and I have used it when cleaning and it definitely helped keep my asthma in check, I usually have to have my husband do all the dusting and I was able to without an issue with this on which was great. I also like to use this when doing yard work and so far so good. however because its neoprene it does get hot and has a slight smell, I have to wear my hair in a pony and place the straps above it otherwise it slides down. I have yet to test it at a festival yet however I will right an updated review once I do. I plan on wearing this and then covering it with a buff, however I will have to order more inserts as the one I have I think is done as they say they should be replaced every month or so I believe.
