Fidget toy
My son wanted this fidget so I got it for him. The clacking is kinda loud but was expected since it’s literally 2 pieces of metal hitting each other. The screw kept falling out but my husband put some lock tight in it and it works like a charm.

Holds up well, great for price.
Extremely happy with this purchase, had it for months and not bored yet, has held up despite beating the tar out of it.

Your Last Fidget Toy?
The frame of reference for the "feel" I wanted was somethin similar to a switchblade or a Zippo lighter. Spinners and clicky button things, while nice desk toys, really don't satisfy that mechanical snappiness.Anyway, I bought this expecting a decent fidget toy. At the very least, magnets and steel would suggest a nice haptic feedback and durability. What I recieved surpassed my expectations. This thing really is wonderful, and only gets better the more you get used to handling it.At size seems smallish (about the dimensions of a Zippo without the cap), but quite nice if not perfect for its purpose. It's also nice and weighty for its size. Thickness, about 9mm.Extremely durable. Body is steel and magnets are fused. Protruding stopper magnets are protected in a steel cylinder. No bumping, so magnets stay strong.Recommendation: remove the screw. The magnets and track ensure the slabs won't fall apart even in use unless you pry them apart (which is also fun to do), so the screw bearing really only serves as a limitation and structural weak point. I get the reason for it. Would keep a kid from losing half of his $20 fidget toy. And acts as a kind of training wheel before you get a feel for the toy. But ultimately, not needed.$20 does *seem* steap for a little toy, but if you like the idea of fidgets, yet haven't found a real satisfying one, this could very well be the only one you'll need. This stupid little thing has not left my pocket for a week and is in my hands whenever idle...at least while alone, where it won't annoy peers with its clicking.I love it.

The screw comes loose
I bought this to use in my office. It makes a soft click and I like the feel of the magnets. However the screw that holds the two pieces together comes loose with extended use. The screw is large enough that you can twist it back in, but if you don't realise it's happening it could be a problem

Great stimulation
I love the clicking haptic. It’s a little too loud in quiet places. I sometimes need to slowly apply pressure as I slide the plates over one another. Other than the occasional “silencing” off this gadget, it feels amazing and has an awesome look to the design.

A knock-off better than the real thing?
The media could not be loaded. I bought this on a whim. I have an authentic zirc kk slider, and I can't believe I'm writing this but I actually prefer this over the "real" deal. This came pretty tight, but a few days of working the sliding loosened it up and the screw still remains in place. No loctite needed. It's kind of a small wonder why the "authentic" lautie items cost so much, but provide the identical experience. I'll hang on to my lautie shuffle for the collector in me, but this has become my daily edc fidgeter. It's smooth, snappy, and the finish is rugged as all get out so far. I've got pretty abrasive skin and definitely more acidic sweat than most, but this thing has held up. Even if it didn't , for the price you could get multiple and not have a care in the world if you lost it.Not sure who makes this, but they actually have a solid little slider here.Satisfied for sure, surprised even more so.

Love this, great to have, one downside
Great feel, satisfying and tactile click, downside is you are broadcasting to the world you are anxious and can be annoying to others around you. I love this when I am alone, I use other quiet devices in public. I also have some concerns about repetitive long term use. Feels solid and well made.
