Keeps the Playdough Surprises Out of My Cabinets
I bought this for my twin five year olds and their seven year old big sister who are obsessed with playdough at the moment. I love allowing my girls to play with play dough and explore their creativity, plus I can usually get a few minutes of peace while they play. We kept having a problem though, and it may just be my little artists, but they wanted to "bake" their food creations. In order to do so they would put these pieces in random cabinets and drawers around them and then forget they had put anything "in the oven". I was finding hard as rock play dough creations EVERYWHERE. In my kitchen towel drawer, in my tupperware cabinet, in the random cabinet we keep our family games in. When I saw this set I was so excited! I bought it right away! This has definitely solved my problem and not only did it solve my problem but they love this oven even more. They get so excited to pull the little handle and watch the oven light up, wait for the noise to signal that it's "done", and then be able to actually serve their creation to someone instead of leaving it to dry out for mom to find later. LOVE LOVE LOVE, definitely recommend if you also have a little play dough lover in your life!!!

My kid loves it
Obviously my child like most love playing with play dough and this little baking set is perfect! She is always “baking” me cakes and pies. It can handle her roughness .

Something is smelling good.
This play-doh set has super bright colors and perfect size and it was easy to clean tools. Perfect to gifted to a family member or classmate. You can easily store everything in the box and each tool performed like it should.

NO instructions so I thought it didn't work.
So I went through two of these. The first one we could not get the red light or the ding to happen consistantly. I sent one back and got another to replace it. The second one we could not get to work either. Turns out you have to hold down the handle for a bit before the light turns red and it dings. ZERO instructions in the box that said that. My 2 year old was SOOO frustrated until we figured it out. Especially because it was from Santa and we had to ship the first one back to him for the second one to be "delivered" from him one night on our fireplace. Mommy was frustrated too! Now that we know how to use it, it is adorable but I took away one star for the lack of instructions.

Great toy
The children that come over ages 4-10 love playing with this Play-Doh Magical Oven! The ding sound it makes isn’t too loud. Seems to be easy to yes for them.

Keeps my son out of the REAL oven...
I gave this to my son for his third birthday. He will play with it for an hour straight multiple days each week. He often helps in the kitchen and is rather independent (youngest of 5) and gets frustrated that I don't let him put pans in the oven. He often made play-doh cookies and it wasn't uncommon to find plastic plates of "cookies" melting in the oven when I was preheating it. This meets his interests and keeps him engaged. The lever for the oven is something he can easily manage, but his older sister isn't nearly as assertive as he is and it took a few tries for her to feel she could do it independently. Now, she's got it easily. Five stars for targeted interest and independent play. It has held up to his rough play for two months now with no sign of stopping. We love it. (4 stars on thickness because what on earth is that even asking? Thickness of what?)
