A far more robust version of the KitchenAid OEM part
This appears to be far better built that the original part it is replacing. Time will tell whether it is truly up to the task, but I have far more faith in the thicker, single-pole axles found in this one being able to handle the load than in the flimsy four-part clips that failed fairly quickly in the life of our dishwasher and necessitated this repair. And the load is considerable: just look at the number of cups and small bowls and glasses you typically load into the top rack, and try to guess the weight. Divide that number by four, and you have the weight that's being put on each of those little wheels. For the record, my dishwasher is KitchenAid Model KUDS301XWH9, Type 577-1.Also, remember that this kit includes only one adjuster; I had been shopping for sets that included two and neglected to realize this kit only includes one. Totally my fault. I just ordered the second so I can replace both sides, while the installation process is still relatively fresh in my mind. I found a great YouTube video that showed how to do it.One piece of advice: proceed slowly and gently in unfastening all three of the plastic clips and installing the new adjuster. If your dishwasher has been in use for a while, all of the plastic components are probably brittle from the constant exposure to the detergent and the high heat of the drying cycle. If you force any of these parts aggressively, you run a good chance of snapping it--and you'll be back shopping for more parts. Take your time, and proceed gently in removal and reinstallation.Good luck. I'll update this review only if I encounter any failure of these parts. If this review is intact, it means the part is still doing its job.

A HUGE improvement over the adjuster included with the dishwasher
This is the top rack adjuster KitchenAid should have included with the dishwasher. Only two small, brittle plastic retainer clips held the wheels on the manufacturer's version, and they easily fell off. The wheels are attached to this version with solid plastic cores which should hold up for years. Although there were no instructions included, removal of the old adjuster and installation of the new one were fairly easy with the assistance of videos I found on line. However, there are a few things you need to keep in mind: (1) This is a part, not a kit. No housings or retainer clips are included. (2) The package contains only one adjuster. If you have to replace the adjusters on both sides, you will have to order two of them. (3) The on-line videos show you how to remove the old adjuster assembly and replace it with the replacement kit sold by the manufacturer. The replacement kit differs considerably from the original assembly, but you can install this part with the original assembly simply by following the removal instructions in reverse. BUT -- be careful that you do not damage any of the clips or housings during disassembly, because you will have to reuse them. In the videos the demonstrators are not particularly careful about this because they discard all the old parts.

Better quality than original
Not nearly as hard to install as I had feared. Better quality than the original pieces, and now my top rack doesn't fall apart every time I open it!

Perfect fit for my KitchenAid dishwasher
As with many others, my KitchenAid dishwasher top rack wheels broke off. All 4 of them. The little pegs that hold the wheels on are tiny and, apparently, somewhat fragile (they must be Italian). I had a choice of calling in a repairman to fix this for a few hundred, or I could buy 2 of these, go on YouTube for a couple minutes, and save myself at least 90% of the cost. The product fits exactly where the old one did, feels sturdy, and the wheel bases are thick pegs that don't look like they would break in a dozen years.*** NOTE -- keep all of the parts from your old adjuster. This is the adjuster and wheels ONLY. It does not include the height locking device or the three 'stays' that hold it to the rack. Those are easily removed and replaced on to this new one, so no worries there.

Upper Rack Assemble fit perfectly - Does the job
My son's 9 year old KitchenAid Dishwasher lost a wheel which caused the upper rack to tilt a lot and made loading and unloading glassware, cups etc problematic. I searched extensively on Amazon to find the right part. (This is after calling Whirlpool and having them tell me the part is on backorder and will take 1 to 30 days to fill the order.)The price was reasonable (vs having a repairman come and charge $ 150 + for service call, parts and labor.) The part fit perfectly and was fairly easy to install after viewing You Tube videos and going step by step. I liked the fact this part had heavier duty wheels and carries a 2 yr warranty.

Honest review.
Suitable replacement for the one the comes with the dishwasher. Value is fantastic if you can do it yourself. There are a couple good YouTube videos that go step by step how to remove the old one and put this one in its place. Something I noticed is the white rollers are very different from the originals. Seems to still work but definitely different. Also different color. Originals are brownish. This one is jet black. But like I said- suitable replacement for cheap money. Took about 10-15 minutes to uninstallOld one and install new one.
