This speaker is AWESOME. I bought this 2 years ago and still sounds brand new. I take it to camp with me and clip it to my book bag with a carabiner & it's so convenient. The outdoor button on the bottom genuinely makes the speaker louder. As soon as you turn it on it immediately connects to your phone.

Buy this when on sale around 60$, probably now the permanent price that the UE wonderboom 4 has come out (reviews say the only difference ios upgrade to usb C charging from usb) as far as ultra portable speakers go, this is as good as it gets, and aging more than gracefully. After much research i settled for either this or the jbl flip 6, bought both, returned the jbl flip 6. It really depends what you want this for. If you want something for a corner in the garden for BBQ or indoors portable speaker, for the shower etc something like that, the jbl flip 6 has more powerful and better sound, but highly directional, if you want this for outdoors activity, the UE packs a punch for the size, is super portable, and the sound is much more surround sound than the jbl flip 6 which is very directional and not stereo nor surround AT ALL. When you hand the jbl flip 6 it will invariably swing around and you'll hear the sound come and go as it twists on the built in hanger. I took both on a sailing trip, and the ue boom was the best sound on an open moving ship. The rest of the crew agreed. i'd imagine it's the same in any open environment, dynamic activities or picnic etc. it's also more portable/smaller/lighter than the jbl and though both are waterproof, unlike the jbl, the ue boom floats so it's the best for water activities without a doubt. anything when you might lose it to sinking: kayaking sailing going to the beach, lake, ue wonderboom without a doubt.

I bought this speaker in 2023 specifically to use in the shower because our shower is loud and I wanted something I could actually hear over the water. It’s been great for that purpose—clear, loud enough, and totally reliable with no issues at all over the last couple of years. For context, I keep it on a suction cup holder at the far end of the tub, positioned as close to outside the shower as possible so it’s not getting direct water or steam. Occasionally the suction cup does fall, which finally led to a real stress test. Last night, the holder fell without anyone noticing, and the speaker ended up in the tub during my toddler’s bath. I walked in about 10 minutes later to find it floating in the water. I fully assumed it was done and was just relieved no one was hurt. I took it out, laid it on its side to dry, and had zero expectations it would work again. This morning, I turned it on—and it works perfectly. I honestly can’t believe how well it held up. Between the sound quality, long-term reliability, and unexpected durability, I’m extremely impressed. If you’re looking for a shower speaker that can actually be heard and seems built to survive real life, this one absolutely delivers.

Purchased two of these to use in my backyard. I liked that they were small, so I could move them around easily, but that they provide outsize sound given the small form factor. Key feature for me was the ability to to pair them together. The latter part was more difficult than I anticipated. I would connect one speaker, turn on the other, which would then 'steal' the music from the first. Pushed the button on the top of both speakers at the same time, as the instructions imply. This does not work, and actually disconnects both speakers from the input device (I'm using an iPhone to play Spotify, for what it's worth) and pauses the music. No way to reconnect without turning the speakers off and then on again, which gets you back to square one. I called tech support and even they couldn't figure it out, though they did share a video which gave me the 'clue' I needed to make it work. Here's the secret: 1. Once you've paired both speakers, turn them on; one will connect to the source, one won't, as noted above. 2. Then push the middle button on the top on the speaker that is NOT playing music, until it makes the beep-boop-beep sounds. 3. Release that button, THEN press the speaker on the other speaker until it beeps and boops. 4. Music will pause, but after a few more seconds of beeps and boops you'll be reconnected and can restart the music and both speakers will play nice together. Having figured this out I'm quite happy with the purchase- 5 stars if it wasn't such a hassle and the instructions weren't so inadequate. Lots of references to the app, which isn't even compatible with the Wonderboom 3. In general the instructions and support materials leave a lot to be desired. But it's a nice product once you figure out the 'trick' and get it working.

Wow - this really works well for its size. I teach movement classes in a variety of spaces, and this little speaker provides a deep, rich sound wherever I am. It connects seamlessly to my phone and has a great battery life. Highly recommended.

This has to be the BEST little portable bluetooth speaker out there. I just love it! I use it almost every day. Sometimes in the garage if I'm cleaning something up, on the kitchen counter if I'm doing dishes, etc. The sound is great. It packs a powerful punch. I've used other speakers this size and they just don't have the kind of power and volume ability that this one does. I got mine in hot pink so it's easy to spot and I know it's my speaker if I've brought it somewhere. I love the little gizmo on top that allows me to carry the speaker with it or attach the speaker to something else. I was surprised to find that the plus & minus signs on it actually increase and decrease the volume. I didn't realize that! This is a well made, solid and sturdy speaker with a great sound. I will be buying this for a friend or two for Christmas!

Before buying this I bought the JBL, the sound was okay but easy to break. So I bought this one, small and easy to carry around. I love it, I love how much this small speaker can do and it last very long
