I bought this because I recently heard a glowing report on BBC radio in an interview with a UK manufacturer that specialise in garment steamers. The main selling point for me is that using a garment steamer can extend the interval between clothes machine washing , thereby reducing the frequency of machine washing and therefore reducing electricity bill. The steamer kills 99% of bacteria in clothing that causes unpleasant odours. By killing bacteria that cause odours, the steamer effectively eliminates body odours. Another very useful application is to use the steamer on bed mattress and bedding to kill bed bugs and dust mites which cause asthma and other allergies. This steamer is designed to be used at any angle without leaking water, so it can used horizontally on a mattress or vertically on clothes and curtains. The steamer saves the cost and inconvenience of an ironing board and also eliminates the need for storage space for an ironing board. The steamer comes with accessories to remove lint and also to put a crease in trousers et. This steamer has a trigger switch with a locking option to avoid having to hold the trigger in the 'on' position. It will also switch off automatically if you forget to switch off the steamer. The steamer takes only 30 seconds to reach operating temperature and is suitable for all fabrics including silk. I'm ordering a steamer for each of my 4 children as Christmas presents. This is a well designed and good quality steamer. One of my best buys this year!

okay quality, easy to use, not portable. water capacity enough

Didn’t realise how much water a steamer would take and how often I’d have to fill it up BUTTT it’s still very good😭 I’m glad I bought it as I get into crocheting clothes and it’s more convenient than wet blocking. It’s not very heavy and it gets to work quickly. It says wait about 3mins for it to heat up but honestly, it heats up and is ready to go in about 30 seconds (solid green power). I’m not sure how long exactly it lasts once filled up, maybe 10-15mins of steaming? I tilt the water bit slightly when I’m adding water as the shape of it means once it’s flipped the right way, it’s only filled about half way (that way I don’t need to top up so often). I was wary about needing to fill it up from the bottom but the lid is very secure once shut. Highly recommend!

I bought this after seeing a lady on a You Tube Video using one to steam block a crochet shawl. I had a crochet blanket waiting to be blocked and unfortunately a different make of steamer I had purchased a couple of days ago, despite being more expensive than this one, just wasn't up to the job. As you can imagine, I was eager to get this steamer unpacked and get the blanket blocked so that I could regain a good chunk of my living room floor. I was very pleased with the result, less than 5 minutes, little over 100mls of distilled water and the soft cotton brush attachment (whilst still making sure the steamer didn't go less than an inch or two above the crochet), my task was finished. It may not look perfect in the picture but it is way better than it was beforehand. I was also impressed at how quickly it heated up. I plugged it in and switched it on, walked a few yards to the kitchen and back again to find it was ready for use. There was also no stickiness in the switch which others had commented on finding. The water compartment is easy to take out and put back in again. It's certainly a lot lighter than using a traditional steam iron, it's no more noisy than a boiling kettle during use and I can see it being used in preference to getting the iron and ironing board out in future.

What an incredible item. I’ve never used one before, but minutes after it arrived I had all my creased clothes looking fabulous.

This steamer works really well and heats up quite quickly. You don’t need to keep the trigger pressed the whole time, as it produces a good amount of steam continuously. When the steam slows down, just pull the trigger once or twice to get it going again. I’m not entirely sure what the maximum water capacity is, but I usually fill it with about one cup, which lasts for roughly one to two shirts. It’s a bit bulky to store, so I keep it in its box when not in use — though that doesn’t really bother me. Overall, I’m very happy with how efficiently it works.

Easy to use, save space and boys able to use it by themselves. jobs done quite quickly. Happy with the result.
