It is not dishwasher or microwave safe. The art is amazing. My daughter will probably not use it. We got another mug that is both microwave and dishwasher safe. If you want a cup with detailed art this is the mug!

I received this as a Christmas gift. It came nicely packaged. It looks very nice and the picture quality is great. But it is not dishwasher or microwave safe. It does say this in the description and on the mug. The reason that I'm leaving a 3 star review is that there are plenty of other Batman coffee mugs out there that are nicer, and better looking that are dishwasher and microwave safe for the same cost or less. I know this because I have quite a collection, all of which are dishwasher and microwave safe. If you are buying this as a decorative piece, it's great but if you plan to actually use it you're definitely going to have to hand wash it. A dishwasher WILL ruin the artwork even on the top rack.

I got this for my daughter who is a big Batman fan! Unfortunately, I didn't read the complete description of this item that says this mug is not microwaveable or dish washer safe. That's my fault, but I do think the artwork on this mug is exceptional and she will really love it. I would like to add that it does seem a little pricey considering that it isn't microwaveable or dishwashing safe.

The mug is a standard-sized mug. The design looks better in the pictures than in real life but it's Batman so it's always going to look cool. The unfortunate part of this mug is that it is not microwave or dishwasher safe. I'd hate to ruin the picture on the cup so it will probably not be used too much, it'll be more decorative in our kitchen.
