Dritz iron-on hem tape
It took me a little practice to get the hang of using this tape but now that I've done a couple pair of pants, it's a real help for me. It does seem to work more easily on polyester than on denim but I've been able to hem both types. I'm a blind single dad with a 9 year old boy and I find myself constantly in need of hemmed pants. This is how I do it: I wash the pants, turn them inside out and roll them to the length I want. I then set a reverse seam with a hot steam iron. I use full steam so I don't melt the polyester pants my son wears but I do keep the iron close to max setting. I have found that placing the tape at the very top edge of the material keeps it from coming undone when legs are stuck into the pants. I just measure the tape off the roll and tear it off with my fingers, place it carefully as flat and smooth as I can and then adjust the pants material to make sure it's lined up and smooth for ironing. I use the iron on high heat with full steam setting and place it on half of the taped area, pressing down hard and pushing the steam button a couple times. I hold it there for a slow count of 20 and then pick it straight up and move to the other half and repeat. I then burn my fingers checking the first half since I'm too impatient to wait for it to cool down and make sure that all the tape has been melted. I do this for both sides of each leg so a total of four strips are used for a pair of pants. In my experience, using steam during the pressing makes the tape melt better without scorching the clothes. So far, the taped pants have gone through about five wash and dry cycles on regular wash mode and are holding up well. Even blind, I can hem a pair of pants in about ten minutes. I'm an old US Marine so I don't mind a little pain and my son doesn't wear out the cuffs on new pants by walking on them. Make sure you measure and place the tape carefully as undoing it is a real chore for me. Although I was able to tear it off without destroying the clothes, I haven't been able to get the residue off the spot where I first experimented. One more thing, there is a really long cellophane lead on the hemming tape roll, so long that I first thought it was the tape itself. You can iron this all you want and it will not stick even a little bit to clothes. It will, however, eventually burn onto the bottom of your brand new teflon coated iron so make sure you unravel to the actual hem tape. This is probably not an issue for anyone who can actually see the product though.

Great, but doesn't work on nylon/spandex
This works great on denim and other fabrics but doesn't work on leggings or any type of yoga pant fabric. It does say to test a small area of the fabric before using and that's how I found out that it doesn't work on spandex. Otherwise, it's a great product and it saves a lot of time especially if you don't like to or don't know how to sew.

I'm surprised how well this worked
I'm surprised how well this worked - I'm not a sewing fanatic and saw this on YouTube so I tried it out on a new tshirt I had snagged. I may try some of the non-ultralight versions of this product on other clothes I own I need to address which aren't as thin as the tshirts I was mending.

Fixed top!
I bought a blouse online and found it had a 1in tear and fraying at the seam on the front left shoulder. I was looking to return it to the online retailer, but after two days of customer service non response (to be fair, it was a weekend) I decided to take up a new challenge. Yes, I love me a challenge. Lol. So, I pulled up a few tutorial blogs and videos and found what I needed! 3 products to repair. I figured this may help me in the future anyway. The company responded before the products arrived, but I decided to follow through with my project hoping I wasn’t making a mistake. I ordered the super thin clear thread, sheer stabilizer and stitch witchery. I used a damp towel and followed instructions of “wool setting on iron and press for 10 seconds.” Then I followed up with a back stitch. I fixed it!! Kind of dumb to have to fix a top that shouldn’t have been damaged to begin with, but its a super cute blouse from a nice boutique website and I figured it’d be fine to experiment on. Tag still attached and fixed! Ready to wear after a quick steam.

Hard to say honestly
So using this product my goal was to put reflective strips onto a pair of work bibs. Applying was fairly easy, seem to do what I had expected. But it didn’t last even 24 hours. Few hours into work I look down and strips were hanging off pc by pc. I don’t know if it was the kinds of material I was applying it to, or if I didn’t follow the directions how it started. I did what I took the directions saying, but don’t mean I doing it correctly. Anyways I love the product and what it’s meant for, just wish I know what went wrong

Works Great
Used this to hem a new pair of light-weight summer slacks. Did a beautiful job. Only time will tell how well it holds, but so far so good.

Super facil de usar!
Me encantó!

Great for repairing or even hemming
As someone that lacks sewing skills, I discovering Stitch Witchery has been an absolute game-changer! This nifty product has saved me from just throwing away something due to a small tear. The concept behind Stitch Witchery is simple yet ingenious. It's essentially a fusible bonding web that allows you to create strong, durable seams without the need for sewing. All you have to do is place the webbing between the fabric layers, apply heat using an iron, and voila – you have a seamless bond that holds up remarkably well. One thing to keep in mind is that Stitch Witchery works best on lightweight to medium-weight fabrics. While it's great for most everyday clothing and household items, it may not be suitable for heavy-duty projects or fabrics with a very coarse texture. My only minor gripe with Stitch Witchery is that it can be a bit tricky to work with initially, especially when it comes to positioning the webbing correctly and ensuring an even bond. However, with a bit of practice and patience, I've found that it becomes much easier to use.Overall, I highly recommend this to anyone who wants to tackle sewing projects without the hassle of traditional stitching. It's a time-saving, cost-effective solution that delivers professional-looking results every time. Give it a try – you won't be disappointed!
