This mailbox is inexpensive which is a plus for the bank account, made of plastic and keeps the spiders and bees out, easy to install so it saves you time. This mailbox has an easy open front for those who have problems with your hands working properly as does my husband who is disabled. And our postal person loves the fact that they are able to fit packages in this and can save time by not having to get out of the truck and deliver to door, so I would say it is made in a unique way to allow more/larger packages then our old metal box that was destroyed by a texting while driving person. The red flag is easy to move up and down. All in all, this was a great purchase. If this one gets the same respect the last one did by a texting while driving person, I'll buy this mailbox again.

Quality plastic. Easy to install.

The mailbox was delivered very timely. So far it seems sturdy enough, and attaching it to my mailbox was a snap. I was done within 5 minutes. When you install it make sure you have enough space for the door to open by extending out the mailbox an inch or two over the 4x4" wood mail post extender. I did not receive any screws with the package. No big deal. I had 4 outdoor wood screws that did the trick. The size of the mailbox is large enough for the mail carrier to stuff all the letters and magazines I get plus a hardcover book that I just received. So size-wise the mailbox is what I needed. The plastic box should last a long time. The only concern of mine is how long the red plastic flag will last. The flag broke off on the plastic mailbox I just replaced, but it was from a different vendor. I hope this flag lasts a lot longer. Otherwise, I am very happy with the purchase.

I like it. Got my first mail in it today. How well it will hold up will depend on time, usage, and weather. Many plastics degrade and break apart when outside. Again, for this item, time will tell.This mailbox is large enough to easily hold just about all types of mail, including unwanted advertisements, large envelopes, and small packages, Mailbox arrived on time but the box was partially opened. Had no affect on the mailbox however. It does not come with hardware so you need to provide your own screws. Still overall, it's a good product and I'm currently pleased with it.

No getting our box mixed up with the neighbors, black and gray boxes. Doesn't blend into the brush and the mail carrier says he can spot it coming up the road. Closes easily and stays weatherproof. Thought about ordering a second one to put away for a replacement, when that year finally comes.

Easy to mount, and so far very durable to the TX sun!

I have 22 of these boxes in a mobile home park. Of those, about 2 or 3 of the doors don't want to stay closed and about the same number have ill-fitting doors. These are the same boxes that used to cost $10 before pricing went nuts in the last few years. You're still getting a $10 box if you buy this. Since I was buying 22 at a time, you can understand why I went cheap. I would never buy this for my own mailbox because the quality is at best mediocre. That said, at least they won't rust, and they survive minor accidents better than metal boxes. I'm on the fence as to whether I would ever buy these again - it will depend on how long they last.

This is seemingly a sturdy big mailbox, our mail delivery person thanked us for putting up a new mailbox. My only wish was that it came in a "Canadian" version.

It took quite a while to track down a heavy-duty plastic mailbox but it was well worth it. This is for anyone who lives in a rainy climate with the added nuisance of almost constant salt spray and occasional hurricane-force winds. (This is in the British Isles.) It's now into its third winter and looks as good as new. I have mine screwed to the fence rather than on a stand because of the wind. It took extra pieces of wood to do it but it's secure. It is also completely watertight. Thoroughly recommended, especially for long-term use where rusting might be a problem.

The day after putting the box out the mail man came up the lane and asked about it! He liked it !! It's wonderful, and cheap! The classic metal mailboxes don't last very long where we are. (salt from the roads rust it away very fast) and I'm not crazy about the other larger bulky plastic ones you can get..Great buy.. Easy install.. Looks simple, classic and clean.
