Fanastic!
I had a pump like this for my koi pond. It worked great for a long time. When the pump went, I shopped locally and spent a LOT of money on a pump that was supposed to be stronger... it wasn't. I fought the greenest and stringiest algae for four years. I started researching pumps and found this one. Reviews were mixed with warranties. I looked at the Savio website and found the list of sellers that they did NOT recommend and would not honor the warrantee with. Pondliner was not on that list. I contacted them with a few questions and found they guaranteed the pump for 2 years, as well as service them. I ordered the pump and another item. I found that the other item would not work and contacted Pondliner again who promptly fixed my problem. This pump is AWESOME! I have a 1500 gallon koi pond, and the water is finally moving like it used to! I love the pump, and I love the customer service provided. I will definitely look for Pondliner for all my future koi pond needs. It was so refreshing to get quick helpful customer service. This company and their products are really great!

Pump quality not the same, lasts only 1 year!!
UPDATE: 6/22/20 - THE REPLACEMENT PUMP FOR THE REPLACEMENT PUMP HAS DIED!! Savio pumps are definitely not the quality they once were. Time to find another company. UPDATE: 10/24/18 - THE REPLACEMENT PUMP HAS DIED!!! What is with Savio pumps quality?! This pump lasted only 4 months!!! UPDATE: 6/7/18 - I received a new pump from Savio to replace the defective one which was covered under the warranty! UPDATE: 5/19/18 - Savio has contacted me and they sent me a RMA form to start the process on hopefully getting the pump replaced. Very disappointed in Savio. I had a Savio 2050 pump in my pond and it ran 24/7 for 11 years, stopped workingl April 2017 so I purchased another one since I had the Savio skimmer and the pump fits inside. However, this new pump ran for only 13 months!!!! I have contacted Savio and have not heard from them. I also contacted Marvin Gardens Store, which is who sold me the pump through Amazon, and I have not heard from them either!! Warranty is 18 months. Very poor customer service from both companies. But I am stuck since as I stated previously, I have the Savio skimmer and it's all plumbed to fit a Savio pump, so I will probably have to buy another one. At the moment I have a temporary submersible pump in my pond so my fish won't die. If you are just starting out with a pond, I would look at another brand for your pump. They should last more than one year!!

Very good pump, not so good manufacturer.
I have had several Savio pumps in this series. Most of the Savio products are quite good and last a long time. They are internally nearly identical to Atlantic Tidal Wave series, but there is an important difference. Savio is not a service oriented company and it is annoyingly difficult to get warranty service help. Good dealers can help, and in my case, stepped in to deliver the service. Savio is there but nobody's home. Identical Atlantic models generally command a higher price, but have a better warranty that is actually honored.

Rugged pump and great customer service
My great customer service experience. My pond was originally installed in 2010 and came with the WMS2050. My first pump lasted 7years. When the original pump did finally give out, I opted to get the same model and found it on amazon and purchased with an extended warranty. At the time the warranty process with amazon was less than stellar. A call to the seller quickly resulted in these guys stepping up and getting me a new replacement. That replacement lasted about 5yrs into 2023. This time being way out of warranty I just bought another outright – same seller. This replacement died on me last week and we have another freeze coming. While still under the extended supplemental warranty, the AMZ replacement will not arrive in time to get my pond circulating in time for our next freeze. Again, a call to this seller and they are getting me up and running in time. Great customer service! Stephan W. Jan2025

Savio used to be good, but no longer
Pump failed today after 7-months of use. We have a total of five of these in 3 different water features. We have had great luck with Savio pumps (along with their skimmers) in the past but have had short lifespans on our last two purchases both lasted less than one year. We used to get 4-6 years of pump life but guessing Savio has changed suppliers on their motors.

Lot's of power
Very sturdy. Lot's of power. Used in my pond to move water up to filter and to waterfall. I learned the hard way that it needs to be in an enclosed cage, otherwise it will suck up the fish. Addendum: I've had the pump for 3 years, still running great, however, the manual advises to periodically remove the housing around the empeller to clean it. The problem is, the housing is held in place with star-head screws, set so deep in the sleeve that a normal length shaft on the bit can't reach them. So, in order to perform regular maintenance, you need a whole set of tools.

Pump short circuit kills fish
This is my 4th Savio pump for my Savio pond skimmer in 5 years. The previous 3 pumps died in 2 years, 1 year and 2 years respectively. The 2nd one failed less than 2 years so I got a free warranty replacement. All 3 times, the pump failed the same way - they developed shorts and keep tripping the circuit breaker. The last pump caused the worst damage, it electrocuted all my 30+ fish. Note the 'short' has 10 ohm in resistance so it won't trip the breaker right away (more like 20-30 min) which is long enough to kill the fish. Google research tells me that pump short is likely caused by overheating which melts the internal coil. The reason of overheating is that it runs without water in the skimmer tank. This situation did happen to me when the filter pads are really dirty and block the water from flowing into the pump tank. However, the Savio user manual mentioned there is a built-in thermo sensor which stop the pump when overheating. I wonder if the thermo sensor has design error. Now I'm on my 4th Savio pump, and I have to watch water level of the pump constantly. I can't really change a different brand because it's hard to find the right size pump to fit into the narrow Savio skimmer.
