Best in class for an affordable survival shelter
TL;DR: Pack- and user-friendly, 'best in class' for an affordable survival shelter. Quality item, well-sized, durable and puncture-resistant material. There are obvious limits to this kind of gear, but respect those limits and this shelter can handle a fair share of misuse and abuse. As per Murphy's Law, anything can be destroyed, but in the class of 'survival tents' the Go Time Life Tent rates highly in idiot-proofness. My rigorously scientific research includes setting it up in our back yard and letting my kids and wife at it. They've shredded other advertised 'indestructible' shelters, tarps, other gear, etc. (give me your indestructible knife, my wife will find a way), and the Go Time has handled it without more than a little stretching and a couple of tiny burn holes from the kids roasting s'mores a little too close to it. Like any tent, it won't protect you from a cold ground, so remember to have an insulative layer. (No sleeping pad? Soft vegetation like leaves, turf, springy branches will do.) Of course, as a 'survival item' it may well spend 100% of its life packed up. On that count, the Go Time really does manage to be lighter than its competitors, and compresses easily. (I swapped the paracord for 50' of 100# kevlar braided line and 2' of duct tape, which lightens it further and takes up 1/3 the size of the para.) Fits inside a small Trangia mess tin with room to spare for more 'survival gear.' In other words, it doesn't give you a reason to 'leave it behind' and not have it when you need it (which--Murphy's Law again--will only be when you don't have it).

The Go Time Gear Survival Life Tent is an excellent addition to any emergency kit, and after testing it out, we were thoroughly impressed. The compact size and lightweight design make it perfect for carrying on any outdoor adventure without adding much bulk. It easily folds into a small sack, making storage simple. The tent’s tear-resistant polyethylene material is highly durable, and it provides solid weatherproof protection by reflecting 90% of body heat—great for harsh conditions. Light weight and compact.
Seems fine. It is compact and light fits good in my get home bag. Haven’t set it up and hope I don’t ever have to. The whistle on the draw string is a good touch too. Gave 4 stars since I haven’t set it up. I’m afraid I would never get it back in the bag lol. Does seem durable from what I can feel in the bag.

Great emergency tent.
Nice and compact; simple and functional. Make sure to pay attention to how it unfolds if you want to put it back in the bag. There are a million folds and it would certainly be a nightmare in the wind. However, this is an emergency tent so don't expect frills or luxury. Para-cord ends will need to be redone to prevent fraying. Final photo was after I folded it back up and put it away (no photos of the tent deployed because I didn't fully open it up). I laid it out on the floor and it's the same material as an emergency blanket (mylar, I believe). I ordered this tent twice. The first arrived with a broken sliding spring lock. They were very quick to provide a replacement and the owner sent follow-up emails to ensure complete customer satisfaction. All-in-all: Great product for the price! Now, I just hope I don't need to use it ha.

Easy to store out of the way
These are great little tents to have as a just-in-case measure. I got these for mine and my wife's car for when we go on adventures. It is always best to plan for the worst and expect the best. These fit great in the back of the SVU, in the storage compartment. Great bang for your buck!

One time use life saver !!
First off I’d like to point out how lite this is. It’s almost weightless in my hand. Very happy with that aspect. However the claim that it’s durable enough for multiple use is a far stretch from the truth. This is a one and done product. It does stretch however it stretches to the point of wrinkling into worthlessness. It gets so thin when stretched and it stretches very easily. So I can only imagine setting it up and rolling around on the inside of it with next to no cushion between you and the hard ground would mangle this fabric over night. That being said...... it’s an emergency option! I only want it it work once! If god forbid I ever need it , I’d promptly buy a new one after it’s use. Also another huge plus side for me is that the stuff sack is very over sized. I purchased both the tent and the bivi from life tent. Not only did both the tent and bivi fit into the stuff sack there was enough room for an Altoids tin fire kit as well. This gives you shelter, warmth in the form of reflective material and in the form of fire. Also wards off unwanted guests at night and allows you to boil water and cook some kind of food with the addition of some kind of metal cup. All in all I think it’s a fantastic product. But just keep in mind, this is a one time use save your life product.

Happy to have it!
Happy to have this item, but I hope I don’t have to use it! I’m glad it is so small, making it easier to fit in our go bag. I think the price was very fair and I expect the waterproof capability to hold up well. The look is nice and bright in case we ever in a situation where we need to be seen from the sky. I feel like the value is spot on.

A Must-Have for Any Survival Kit!
The Go Time Gear Survival Life Tent exceeded my expectations in every way! This two-person mylar emergency shelter is incredibly compact and lightweight, making it perfect for my hiking and camping trips. It folds down small enough to fit in my backpack without taking up much space, yet it’s spacious enough for two people in an emergency situation. Setting it up was straightforward, thanks to the included paracord. The mylar material does a great job reflecting body heat, ensuring warmth even in cold, windy conditions. I also appreciate that it’s all-weather resistant, providing a reliable shelter no matter the circumstances. The emergency whistle is a thoughtful addition, and it’s surprisingly loud—great for signaling if needed. This tent is not only ideal for outdoor adventures but also an essential addition to any survival kit. Knowing I have this in my bag gives me peace of mind, whether I’m out in the wild or just want to be prepared for unexpected situations. Pros: • Lightweight and compact • Easy to set up • Durable and weather-resistant • Effective heat retention • Includes a loud emergency whistle Cons: • None so far! If you’re looking for a reliable, space-saving survival shelter, this one is a no-brainer. Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
