I've done Astro Gastro in this series. I'm spacing them out, saving them for treats. Astro Gastro was a LOT of fun. It's hard to sort via color, and I sort of winged it so it did take a little longer to complete than a traditional puzzle. But, it was not frustrating to me in any way, just engaging. The quality was excellent, the artwork very fun, and I really enjoyed how the "after" puzzle has so many differences. I also really enjoyed solving the mystery. There are a lot of clues to help. LOTS of FUN!

Following up: I finished the puzzle. This was a fun one that I’ve been curious about for a long time. The picture on the box gives you an idea of what is going on, but the picture you build happens 15 seconds later. There’s a small story that goes along with it. I figured out the twist almost immediately- it’s nothing really deep- but really enjoyed the details of the puzzle as I went along. Some characters say one thing in the box image and another in the puzzle, items have moved, etc. Even though I guessed what was happening, I didn’t see “the full picture” until I was very close to the end of the puzzle. Very fun! I usually don’t look at the box while I’m doing a puzzle, but this image didn’t have many broad swaths of uninterrupted color to make clear groupings by color. I broke down about 2/3 of the way though and looked at the poster included in the box, but as it wasn’t the exact image I was building I didn’t mind as much. I typically solve puzzles quickly; I’d say I took a solid 6-7 hours on this one.It’s also a particularly high quality product- nice, thick pieces that interlock beautifully and don’t bend and high quality box that won’t be misshapen by next week. There are lots of little details in the packaging that offer something of an “unboxing” experience. (One nice surprise was a complete lack of puzzle dust!)I had this puzzle on my list for a long time- it’s a little pricier than the puzzles I usually buy- but I particularly enjoyed it and will be buying others from the same line.(No spoilers here- the image I shared is the full version of the picture on the box.)

We've done many of these puzzles. This one is definitely challenging and fun.

Great quality image and pieces; good variety of piece shapes; very fun concept.

I am an avid fan of Magic Puzzle company, mainly because of how sturdy their puzzle pieces are. So when I googled similar puzzles, odd pieces came up.Right away I can tell you that the puzzle pieces themselves are amazing! Super sturdy and click together so you know when you got the right piece, unlike how with cheaper puzzles its hard to tell sometimes. The art is vivid and the puzzle itself is pretty big.The only thing I didn't like (and this is personal) was that the photo didn't match up with the end result (which I knew ahead of time). I didn't think it would be as difficult as it was to try and figure out what changed from the print to the puzzle but sometimes I was stumped. I don't hate it, it's just I know the next time I order one I will have to devote more "quiet" time to it then I usually do with puzzles.Overall I really liked this puzzle! The price is a bit steep but I often keep my puzzles and build them again after a few months.

Really fun family puzzle!

This is the only one of the Odd Pieces puzzles that I've had a chance to do, but I am looking forward to trying another one. The concept of the puzzle being a few moments later in time is a cool one and it was fun to try to figure out that the puzzle looked like from the drawing. There are lots of little humorous touches that one notices as one assembles the puzzle. And the ending of this one was great. Got a good belly laugh from it. As far as the puzzle pieces are concerned, the quality is excellent. They fit together in a positive way and I did not find any delaminations or other issues that seem to plague a lot of puzzles these days.This would make a great gift for your jigsaw puzzling friends and relatives.
