Three and a half
This is a good machine. You can put saline or medicine in (called a breathing treatment) and turn on the machine. This machine has a maximum of 5 liters per minute flow, and if you are using this with asthma medicine, just know that 3 ml of solution will take anywhere from 20 to 25 minutes long. My advice for a stronger flow is to get a nebulizer with a smaller cord length so the machine doesn’t have to beat the distance. Having a small length will make the aerosol particles a little smaller and should last 15 min for 3 ml of solution (which is what you want ideally). Great machine and affordable. My ratings is based on performance of machine as compared to Hospital/clinic grade devices.

Works like a steam engine!!
Having owned 2 of the cheaper handheld, portable units that failed after minimal use, one out of the box, I opted for this one, no particular reason compared to the other other than avoiding a certain manufacturer. I'm glad I did. Once I learned not to overfill the inhaler, it's comfy to wear, puts out a ton instantly. I give 5 for that, but I have some issues with it. It's noisy, in my circumstance living on a boat, it's cumbersome, but I've found solutions: the cord and tube are long enough for me to keep the unit on the floor. The rugs I have quiet the noise a bit. One year warranty, I believe. That's worth it.

This little guy received good praise and for a legitimate reason
Recently told by my pulmonologist that I need a nebulizer at home, and finding that the medical supply companies in town were all "out" of them, I searched Amazon. This little guy received good praise and for a legitimate reason. I have used it several times now and find it to be quite functional and for a price that cannot be beaten. I'm not sure that I reap the same benefits as I do with a neb treatment in the doc's office. But, I'm not sure if it is the pressure or the quality of the albuterol since I don't get the same side effects.

Four Stars
Works very well so far, and runs much quieter than other nebulizers I've used.

Multiple uses
We use this in our Animal Hospital with a specially built crate for cats and small dogs. Not too noisy.

Works fine for asthma.
My old machine broke after about 20 years of near-nightly service, so I needed a quick replacement. The price of these things sure has come down since the old days, but the product has not gotten cheap. This air compressor works well, and is super compact, making it easy to stow-and-go when needed. The noise level is about the same as the old one, but don't expect any air compressors to be super quiet. The flow rate makes a standard ampule of albuterol solution last about 10 minutes, or so, which is about the same as my old machine. Construction feels pretty solid and not flimsy like some other machines I have seen.My only complaint is that the nebulizer that comes with the unit whistles when you inhale. That's pretty annoying, and just adds to the noise when I have to use this machine in the night. I would urge you to purchase different model nebulizers. An extra tube wouldn't hurt, either.

I've gone through several compressors in my lifetime. I would buy this one again without hesitation. Works well. Not very noisy. Fair price for what you're getting.
