I researched props and hydrofoils for quite some time. I have a Volvo 5.7L with a 19pitch prop. Have plenty of power, boat would just not plane out. Thought about messing with props, but chose to start with the XR4. Previous reviews of the XR3 scared me off with breakage problems. I contacted Stingray directly and found that they now have a lifetime warranty against breakage and free returns if it doesnt fix the problems. Easy 10minute install, and it works flawlessly. Boat planes out easily and lost no top end speed.

Fits perfect and easy to put on, but it’s a leap of faith to do the required small holes drilling through lower unit anti vent plate. My boat planes a bit quicker and will stay on plane at lower speeds which is the main reason why I got it for the slow cruises with the wife. Don’t use it top speed too much but the foil makes it more stable for sure.

Greatly improved the boat come up on plane. stopped the "walking" of the boat at a high speed.

Helps to get pontoon to plane quicker maybe , but steals 500 rpm from wide open throttle. Stingray company basically told me tough luck! They suggest to you the top end hydrofoil they got , and are no help after sale. I will not buy their products again!!

Stays on plane at lower speed, easy to install. Only 1 thing is that the coating on part started to come off after about a month
