Lovely machine, ROG has a very specific feel.
***Pro Tip*** If you're taking the back off this laptop to add another M.2 drive as I did, bear in mind that the bottom right screw when you flip the laptop isn't designed to be removed. I pulled it out thinking it was stuck. Also the back is like a phone case, hard snapped together. I'd recommend sliding a credit card around it to lever the case open rather than pull it apart, again, like, I did lol. Once it's free, gently hinge lever the case open backwards as there are 2 RGB ribbons attached to the outer case that can easily be damaged. Review: Really impressed with this laptop, first time using Windows 11 after upgrading to this from my 2017 desktop (still in use, I still love her too!) and it's very nice and intuitive to use. Familiar from Windows 10 but innovative. The armoury crate dashboard that is a ROG app is geeky heaven. It looks like a nuclear computer control terminal, it's super fun to navigate and tweak your settings. The RGB strip and keys are beautiful. Using the aforementioned app you can use an "Aura" themed desktop theme which can be synced to the cases RGB lights, and pulses in concert with them. The effect is quite stunning, especially as the 2k screen is surprisingly crisp and colourful. The machine is powerful enough for all 2022 AAA titles, I'm running games like Assassins Creed Valhalla, God Of War, Metro Exodus on full Ultra, 2560x1440, and averaging over 60fps. With a bare minimum of tweaking (around two settings per game from Ultra to High) I'm getting the same results with Cyberpunk 2077, Halo Infinite, Red Dead Redemption 2. This laptop is an absolute monster. The sound really surprised me, I've never used a laptop that didn't sound like a gramophone before this one lol. 4 punchy dolby atmos speakers making non headphone use viable, though perhaps not preferable. The laptop does run hot, but all gaming laptops do. Though due to ASUS propensity to have very narrow feet, the air intake vents don't have much space to work with. I'd recommend a laptop riser, or as I've gone with, a cooling pad which can also be inclined. Inclining the machine has a notable effect on temps with this specific line of laptops (G15). All in all I'm very very pleased. I've used desktop setups in the past, but fancied a more robust toy, partly due to living in a tiny flat, and just because I was curious and like the design and portability of gaming laptops. Having next gen power you can take anywhere is pretty sweet, especially with a machine that will draw curiosity and admiration for its aesthetics. I'm overjoyed with this product.

Very nice laptop and fast.
The price for the specification was £500 under list but it was a return item as when it arrived the back lit keys weren’t working had to load Armour crate and configured to work, but now it’s perfect as per the photo.

Good laptop but doesn't have 4 speakers
Only 2 downfiring speakers. Lots of misinformation out there about this model saying there are 2 downfiring and 2 upfiring speakers. Apparently need the SCAR version for that. Otherwise a suprisingly good laptop, great performance and battery life. Downsides are it's a little gamery looking for my taste and the fans have an annoying whistle to them at idle, but are generally pretty quiet and don't ramp up and down constantly like other laptops. My unit didn't have much backlight bleed but a couple dead pixels. If you're thinking about getting this compared to the Zephyrus G15, I'd choose the Strix. It's a lot quieter, cooler, more performance and less QC issues.

beast of a laptop
superb performance and just has that rog quality...at this price point its the highest spec on amazon, 3070ti only 5-10fps off 3080ti so not worth the extra money.

Let Down by the Very Purpose I Bought it For!!!
The graphics are amazing, the sound is superb. This machine is fantastic for VR gaming, it is fast and provides a stable internet connection. It does everything I wanted it to do and in many ways it is ideal. There are many laptops of similar quality, spec and price on the market and having done lengthy research I chose this ASUS as it offered up to 10 hours battery life, which was much longer than the battery life offered by its rivals. To be honest it might as well have offered a battery life of up to 100 hours, because I am lucky to manage a couple of hours before it needs recharging. Even sat in sleep mode the battery life is not good. This is the most disappointing aspect of this machine, and for this reason alone I would not buy this model again.

Good for developers on the move
Let's get the bad part of the review out of the way. The screen feels compact and bijou, but hey it`s good an HDMI port. Connecting via wireless to the TV adds a bit of lag, but you're going to have this no matter what laptop you are using. Now for the good part of the review. Quite little powerful laptop. Run`s an R9 processor, DDR5 4800mhz, 1 TB NVme PCI 4, Dolby Atmos Vission and Sound. Nivida RTX 3070Ti 8gig of GDDR6, Gsync. So far in gaming. Forza Horrizion 5 all Ultra 98FPS Assains creed odyssey all maxed out 90FPS She may be small but definitely packs a punch.
