I have to admit, when I was searching for a usb-powered desktop air-con unit, I was extremely sceptical that the Arctic Air Ultra was just a cheap gimmicky device that would dissapoint as soon as I plugged it in .... I am so happy to report that this just isn't the case!This unit has 4 speeds, is very easy to use and operate, it is simple yet very well thought out, I like the mood lighting, but wow! just wow!!, I am blown away by the strength of the fan and the cooling. Yesterday I had 6 standard fans running in my very small room, today they are all switched off, and this little device, as impossible as it may seem, is keeping my room cooler in terms of feel. The simple design of the internals make it easy to take apart, and are also very effective at cooling, so even though my room is actually a degree hotter today than it was yesterday (31C), I am feeling much cooler, and saving some energy in the process - all for less than £20. Truly remarkable, thoroughly recommended.

its cheap, its crap, it doesnt cool, it bearly blows anything from its 120mm pc fan that is really loud for what it is... whats the point

The media could not be loaded. Great fan with air con effect but it is quite loud. Would only be suitable for very small rooms due to its size and fan power.

This isn't like my previous two that I bought and a fraction of their price and the filter is different, but I have to say it's easier to move without spilling water everywhere, it's quieter which is great because I am a terrible light sleeper and easier for even the kids to use, so definitely a winner

It's ok, good for a small room or office desk. Few design flaws. The lid fall off and you can't clean out the water reservoir properly leaving a smell. The tray had broken plastic bits

This really works. Too small to cool a room but when on a desk, it is really cooling. Better than a desk fan.It leaks if not flat, but I've solved that now. Very happy and cool.

This is no better than a standard fan. The water vaporisation doesn't work. I guess you get what you pay for. Even when this type of fan works they don't work for long.

Great to have this on hot days, very effective
