This is the first really nice kitchen knife I’ve ever owned. Holds an edge really well and man is this knife beautiful too look at! This is one of the best knives you can own at great price. I have had mine for over a year and I love it!!!

Very sharp and durable. The handle looks amazing and balance is great. A little more heavy in the handle than standard wood, but that's because it's resin. The size is perfect for chopping and the edge is still sharp so far. If you want a lighter chef knife try looking for a wooden handled one.

I recently received this item in Starry Black, and for full disclosure, I bought it from Ali Express for less than half the price advertised on Amazon. It's a beautiful knife. Let's get this out of the way; I know it's not a true Damascus steel knife. that did not deter me from giving it a try. I should also note that I I have several Sanmuzuo knives, including this chef's knife, a 3 inch paring knife, a 5 inch utility knife, an 8 inch slicing knife, and an 8 inch bread knife (all purchased from Ali at much lower prices). The knife arrived razor sharp. While I have not had a chance to put this one through the normal paces, I have used the others mentioned above and each one performs wonderfully. Now keep in mind that I'm not working in a professional kitchen so I'm not using these knives for hours at a time, but I do use them nearly every day for regular household cooking. they all seem to hold the edge quite well, only needing minor touch ups with a honing rod. They are well balanced and very attractive. I'm deducting one star due to the obvious error in advertising, that they are not actually true Damascus knives. Otherwise, I highly recommend this brand.

Purchased as a birthday gift, but had to check it out and this baby is sharp as hell and sleek and the grip handle well crafted.
