What a disappointing iron
The steam button started to stick . I returned to get it repaired takes sometime as it has ti go to Budapest. My daughter got one as well which had the same fault . These faults were after a couple of months . Both irons were repaired but didn’t last much longer . Thought this was the best iron but sadly was very disappointed.

I am only sorry that I did not know about this years ago. I have beautiful cotton sheets which I love but hate ironing. Along with that I have cashmere, merino wool and silk clothing which is delicate and needs professional cleaning....For years I used a Rowena quality iron which did a fair job, but hating ironing I merely tolerated it....and then, my world changed. I, who hate ironing discovered the Laurastar steam iron. I immediately was attracted to its beauty, yet likewise was not attracted to the high price. And then I caved in and bought it and the stand to hold it and my world changed. It makes ironing pleasant and a short task now. My sheets look like i just purchased them, beautifully ironed to perfect in a fraction of the time previously needed, and best yet it has a filter which is certified to kill virus, bacteria, and Covid, while taking care of any moth eggs that might be hiding. It dry cleans my wool and makes them look new. I cannot praise it enough. If you hate ironing this will make you love it. And if you have beautiful fabrics to care for, wish to keep the hidden germ level down....It is fabulous. The water capacity is large and the build of all looks like this shall last forever....HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Do not be put off by the price. It is priceless for the time saved and the quality results of using it. I also purchased the stand directly from Laurastar as Amazon did not offer it....and best yet...It is beautiful! I love looking and working with it.

I am very please with my Laurastar Lift, the least expensive model. I bought mine 2 years ago. I sanitized all of the upholstery, pillows and mattresses in the first weekend and could not believe how much fresher the entire house smelled. Letting everything exposed to dry thoroughly, about 6 hours, was the only inconvenient part of it. I do a lot of quilting and my husband’s clothing, it saves tons of time. No issues at all with product failure. The company prides itself on quality and keeping its products out of landfills, so the review of one with the insulation on the cord failing should have called the company. The Laurastar Amazon store had a water treatment pitcher for their strictly steaming product which is not an iron, I use a larger kitchen water filtering pitcher to pre treat the spring water with Laurastar filtration grains in a drawstring cotton bag before filling the Lift’s reservoir, it has signaled a need for filter replacement once in 2 years of use. I have been pretty good about draining the tank monthly, I have not seen any residue come out. The grains change color when saturated signaling when to change them. I recommend having extra filters on hand to keep this investment operating tip top. I purchased a different brand of ironing board than Laurastar’s which has heat as well as up and down fan, though I do not see it currently on Amazon. Pulling the steam through the fabric speeds wrinkle removal, delicate garment fabric being blown upward goes quicker also. My kids bought the Lift cart for my Christmas gift, it is perfect for moving around, and for steaming garments.

I really can't give this item a very high rating due to the fact I had problems with this iron the first time using. Had used it just a few minuets when it gave a big burst of water soaking my item, and then shut off leaving a light blinking red. I shut it off, let it heat up again and it did the same thing.

ok...although I generally rely on Amazon reviews, I never write them myself. But I'm making an exception for this ironing system. The Laurastar Lift is the third Laurastar product I have purchased. I bought my first one at an Atlanta Homeshow around 2001 for $800. It included the iron, steam boiler, and ironing board. it lasted for almost ten years. I LOVED it!!! I could press a blouse in 60 seconds...a heavy pair of jeans in two minutes. The results were professional! I was in Paris one year and sent some items out to be pressed. This ironing system replicates the French press! I think that first system would have lasted another ten years, but a housekeeper I hired tried to fold it up, and not realizing how heavy it was, dropped it to the floor and it broke. Ok...I bought another. I had an independent business and provided uniform blouses for my employees. They were white, embroidered, tunic length blouses. Every Sunday evening I pressed 30 of these in less than an hour. Clients constantly commented on how professional my staff looked in these blouses. Fifteen years from my first purchase, I retired. I still used it at retirement in Florida, with folks commenting on my perfectly pressed white cotton capri pants. Then, about ten years from my second purchase, the system gave out. So this time, I purchased the portable Laurastar Lift. I still had the ironing board, the steam cord whip, the sole plate, etc., and at about half the price of buying the full unit, I was satisfied. Well...guess what!!! That tiny floor model still shoots steam 15 feat down the hallway as I prepare to iron! The iron size, the steam, the heat, the incredible pressing value is all there -- at about half the price of the all-in-ones! My neighbors come to me to press their clothes for cruises, for cotton tablecloths that would be unusable without this steam iron, for heavy denim jeans that would be unwearable, and for delicate rayon/polyester fancy dresses they probably would have to throw away if they had to iron with an ordinary iron. Do yourself a favor and buy this ironing system. You probably need to start with the basic $1200 iron and board system, but you don't really need the $2200 system for now. I love this thing, and this portable unit fits in my retirement budget!

I have owned Laurastars since their early days. After moving countries and having a different lifestyle where I don't need to iron clothes all that often I thought I could do with a diferent iron. First bought a very inexpensive one. That was re-sold quite quickly. I thought a good quality one would do. However, I still did not enjoy ironing, even the little I have to do. So I finally caved in and splurged and bought another Laurastar. Now I am happy again. And I enjoy ironing again...
