Read the directions. This part can easily be installed backwards. Not the fault of Vanshly, just the way the chair was designed. Once the part was installed, the chair operation worked great. Since the new aluminum part replaced the original broken plastic part, it should last for the life of the chair. Easy, low-cost repair.

Nice and EASY to Replace
Purchased this part proactively as I was already replacing a broken drive toggle. Here is the full review for all the parts:Had the original plastic drive toggle break after eight years and went looking for replacements. These fit the bill. I also purchased the toggle drive connector separately (slightly cheaper than buying them all as a set). Replacing the toggle and drive connector literally took about ten mins and that was going slow. Simply remove two cotter pins and clevis rods to release the original plastic parts and replace with new metal versions. The new toggle drive also has a couple of bushings to line up but that's not difficult. Since the original plastic clevis mount is still intact, I'll replace that later if needed as doing so now would require breaking out the old one first.Tips:1. Take photos of the existing parts and mechanism before removing anything.2. The included instructions are helpful but really aren't necessary if you line up the new parts in the same orientation as the old. The photos in the instructions ARE helpful in this regard.3. When attempting to insert the clevis pin through the new drive toggle and its bushings, you may need to extend the footrest slightly to move the "piston" and help line up the holes.All in all a good purchase that probably saves hundreds over inferior OEM parts.
