 Great light with many modes. Makes a small hum when it rotates but you can barely hear it - I would recommend to anyone who is looking for a rotating night light at a reasonable cost.

The projector occasionally stops rotating. One night, it stops, and another few nights it starts rotating again. I've had this projector for a few months now, and aside from the rotating mechanism it still shines brightly. Overall, it's still a great projector. It picks up a lot of dust when left uncovered though.Edit 06/08/17Customer service read my review, and was very kind enough to send me a brand new lamp, which shines and rotates perfectly. Great service and great product. Simple to use. Just plug in to use and unplug in the morning. It shines so bright that you can see the stars clearly in a dark room, and easily far after sunrise.

Oh my god, it works! It really, really works! I've seen many in the past (plenty with bad reviews too), so I was a bit skeptical at first, specially with how cheap it was. Imagine my surprise when I plugged it in and it lit up my room! I love it!One thing I will say tho, is that the images (the stars mostly) are a bit blurry. They appear more like circular blobs. The crescent moon on the other hand, looks bright and wonderful up with the rest of the lights.It asks you for batteries, yet it comes with a cord, so I was a bit confused about what to do at first. Turns out, it works both ways! Batteries, if you wish to carry it around with you, and the cord, if you have no batteries. I will say this about the cord, though: it needs one of those converters that allows you plug into a wall socket, otherwise, the end is similar to that of a UBS drive.

First the good points: I love that it rotates and changes colors with the half moons and stars. It looks amazing all over the walls and ceiling! I'm 39 years old and have wanted one forever! It's perfect to fall asleep to. Now the bad: it runs off 4 aaa batteries OR a usb cord; there is no actual wall outlet plug. It lasted about 8 hours before the batteries died. There is no on/off switch. You either have to unplug it from the laptop or take out a battery. I'm going to use my phone charger to plug it in but just wanted everyone to know before they purchased it that it doesn't come with a converter or and on/off switch. I'd recommend it if you don't mind using a phone charger to plug it into the wall or have an endless supply of aaa batteries. It seems to be made well. I'll update if something happens to it. Bottom line: great for kids and kids at heart if you work around the power issues.

I was really excited to get this light, thinking it could add a fun "surprise" when folks passed by my darkened living room. To start with, when the reviews say it only shows well in a small room, think: small bathroom with a table in the middle. If it's too close to one wall it shows well on that wall but it looks like flying blobs across the room. The moon and star templates on my unit were not well cut and had smudges inside the moon and stars that prevent them from showing with any clarity. Wish I had returned it on time. It's a piece of junk. Maybe more expensive models perform better, but this one, even at "Lightning Deal" prices, was a waste of $12. Also, it makes a bit noise - too much noise to allow for resting or sleep. Note that you'll need a usb-to-2-or-3-pronged-wall-plug adapter to run the light from the wall outlet.

I was worried this wouldn't do much but I was so wrong. It's so pretty to look at! My 2 and 3 year old use it for a nightlight and they love it. It's soft enough to not distract them yet still soothing. I don't use the white setting or the spin setting, just the colors but the other settings work great too. Would be cool for a camp out! Wish it had a shut off timer but it's so great that I can't be mad at it for not having that. The top is a bit flimsy so it's not made to be handled a lot but if you keep it on a shelf away from small hands it'll be fine

It works really well! The only hiccup is it is either battery or usb powered. We don't have USB outlets in our home but it wasn't a problem for us because I have plenty of of adapter blocks but I'm taking off a star because I feel it should come with one.As far as operating it works great! Beautiful stars and very bright! The picture is a bit blurry because my son likes the rotating feature.We are 1 for 2 of boys falling asleep in the room with it. The 3 year old is thrilled and loves it. The one year old likes it but not enough to actually sleep in his room lol. I do wish it had a timer but it's not a big deal for me to go in and turn it off before I go to bed since my son sleeps with his door open.

This night light is really cool. We bought this as an alternative to the Ohuhu Ocean Wave unit we bought for our other child. This was a huge mistake. Now, the kids fight over it. Well, at least the older kid complains about not having the star one. So, we end up rotating it back and forth between the two of them. This one does not make any noise, unlike the minor noise of the ocean wave unit.The only drawback to this was the "supply your own AC/DC adapter". That's pretty cheap. But, if it did save me some money, great. Fortunately, we have a surplus of old phone chargers around so it wasn't an issue.
