Light bulb died on my spa and as a smart home owner, I thought it would be good to upgrade to color. The bulb fits well, but had to use a screw driver to bend the heat sink spring out of the way to get the bulb to fit. Beside that, the installation was very simple. I did lower the water level to make the installation a little easier. I do plan on buying the pool light bulb when that one dies. At that time I may purchase the remote control.

UPDATE!!!!!After I posted my review, I was contacted by the company. Robert made me feel like it was a priority to get this right. After exchanging several emails with him, he let me jknow they too had found the problem in their tests. My issue was that I had already put in a bulb that didn't work, replaced it with the second and it too was not functioning as it should have. I didn't want to take it out, put the fixture back in, pack the bulb, send it back and wait on another to go through it again. He sent out a new bulb without waiting for me to send in the one I had. He kept in touch to make sure the new bulb was right and did everything it was supposed to do.....and it did! Great colors and simple to control. This was without question, the best customer service experience I have had on any Amazon purchase. There is no question I will be buying more bulbs from them and I will recommend anyone who is looking to replace a tired, plain, dingy, old fashioned energy hog light in a pool or spa.....BUY THIS BULB! Save yourself some money way on the fixture, it's probably just fine! The fixtures seldom go bad so why spend the money to replace it?The rest of this review is from the original purchase.I ordered this bulb because I am trying to avoid the expense of replacing the entire fixture in the spa. The first one I received did not power on at all. The second powers on but the procedure of turning power on and off, does not affect the units' program. Unfortunately, twice is all I'm willing to try. I will look for another LED or I will replace the entire fixture.

I have it installed in a SpaBrite 78106200 fixture. When you install the light be aware it seems like it doesn't fit in the fixture as it seems like its too high. The top of the light sits very close to the gasket. I thought maybe it would melt the gasket. I have had the light installed for 7 months with no issues. Highly recommend you replace old gasket with OEM gasket. Very easy to control the light show without remote as long as you have a way way to turn off power to the light. I also bought the LAMPIOUS Pool light for my Amerlite (model 78456300) fixture at the same time and haven't had any issues. Both lights easy to sync with each other. Been running both lights around 4 hours everyday.

I do not generally offer five star ratings unless I am blown away by a product. While this is purely subjective and difficult to define for a product such as this, thus far this LED spa bulb from Lampaous seems to earn a genuine four star rating. The bulb arrived well packaged and in good operating condition. Vibrant colors and several light shows in addition to several individual color options. Cycling through the performance options is simple and just as described in the operations documentation, which is clearly understood and well written. This bulb is plenty bright enough for our small spa which is built into the pool, but is not as bright as the incandescent bulb it is replacing. This poses no problem for us, and is actually easier on the eyes when in the spa. Most of the solid colors are very deep and vibrant, though a couple of colors are somewhat muted. Durability/Quality of materials and construction remain a question mark, as this bulb has only been installed for a couple of weeks. At this time, I would certainly consider this bulb for purchase again when necessary.

Pool lights already look great at night, this one allows you to bring mood lighting into effect. Installation was easy, well, it's just screwing in a light bulb, and the visual effects are awesome. If I had to give this one negative figuring out how to change the lights is a pain. My light switch is behind a wall, so I have to turn them off, wait a few seconds, turn them on and then go look at the pool. In my opinion, they should come with a remote, especially for the price, or even better, Bluetooth. I know this is not expensive because they stack that technology into Bluetooth audio lights. My only guess is that the water prevents some transmission, so we are left with a clunky turn it off to switch type scenario.I'll update if the longevity is not good, but so far so great.

We bought this remote to control our spa colored light. It works perfect! It never fails not even when we’re standing very far away across the pool. I usually turn it on from the patio to leave the remote on the patio table and works like a charm! You won’t regret it.

The media could not be loaded.  I purchased both spa and pool lights and are able to be controlled with the same remote controller. Although the controller's signal is weak while the lamps are under water, I used the junction box, for the lights, to send the controller commands to the lights.I installed the lights a little over 6 months ago.

I replaced my bulb in my spa with this LED. I also replaced my pool light with a Toveneen LED light but they did not have a spa light. So I ordered this spa light and was worried that the colors might not match but they do match fairly good, particularly blue and light blue/magenta which I use most of the time. Easy to change with the switch, just wait a few sec between on and off and changes to multiple colors or solid colors as well as flashing rapidly. Really looks good, glad I purchased this product. Great part is don't have to worry about the heat coming off this light like I did my old fashioned light since it is in a spa where legs touch the light.
