This zipper repair kit is one of the best I've seen : practical, diverse and extremely multitudinous. It has everything you need and more. Buy it.

I have a couple of zippered camping gear bags that had lost the zipper pulls. I didn't want to try and find new bags or tear out the old zippers to sew new ones in so I figured this set was a cheap way to see if I could get them up and working again.First of, there are no instructions whatsoever. I'm sure youtube has instructions aplenty from people that do this all the time...I was too lazy to go looking one up so I just blazed ahead. One of the ends of the old zipper was a bit frayed, so I put a little dab of superglue to hold all the fibers together and then once it was dry I trimmed off the fuzz and the first few nubs on each side of the zipper. The trimmed nubs allowed me to slip/manhandle the new zipper pull onto the zipper just far enough that I could then grab the end of the zipper with the included nippers and hold it tight while advancing the zipper pull far enough that it was out of the way. Once the zipper was on, I picked one of the 4-pronged zipper stops that looked about the right size and pressed it down over the end of the zipper. I flipped the whole thing inside-out and bent over the little prongs nice and tight,. I think the whole repair took about 10 minutes. I had a second bag to do and it wasn't frayed, so without the super clue step, it probably only took about 5 minutes.Is it the best set out there? Probably not. Is it cheap and still pretty functional? Heck yea. I'll probably take a small selection of parts from this kit and put them in a tiny ziplock to keep in my camping gear so that if I have a zipper fail while out on the trail I can do a simple repair.It's a great little kit.

A lot of zipper repair kits tend to focus on a very specific type of zipper, but this one includes the components needed to fix zippers for things ranging from basic clothing items, to luggage bags, and tents. If you want a zipper repair kit that covers most of the main key bases for typical home zipper repair issues, this is a great choice. But do realize that zippers come in several sizes, so you need to double-check to be sure this kit includes the sizes you will most likely need.

It didn't have the zipper size I was looking for. I tried multiple sets and they all broke or lasted less than a day.

Since this kit does not have any instructions, the video showing zipper repair on a flat, Uninstaller zipper does not show me how to fix a zipper on my daughters jacket and sweater. And the tool needed is probably a needle nosed plier, not the nipper that came. Maybe it's a good kit, but I couldn't figure out how to select the right zipper or use it on my items.
