I'm 52 and most lipsticks I've tried chap my lips if I wear them more than one day in a row, but not Ilia! This really is hydrating. I like the color, although I do wish it would stay on longer.

On my lips I used about two to three layers, and the result was a rich, natural color that still feels comfortable and lightweight. What I love most is how hydrating it feels. It doesn’t dry out my lips like some long-wear or matte formulas do — my lips feel soft and nourished — but that also means you will need to reapply during the day, especially after eating or drinking. Overall, this is a beautiful, high-quality balm that adds color and keeps lips feeling supple. For anyone who cares about both how a lip product looks and how it treats your lips, this is a lovely choice.

The lip balm does have a nice feel and seems to last. But the color I ordered, Hold Me, didn’t look anything like what I was sent. It’s much more reddish than I like to wear.
