YONEX Smash Badminton Racquet (G4, 73 Grams, 28 lbs Tension)

It works . Played for a day on strings which came by default, One of my shorts went like a bullet. I will review it further as changed the grips today. Seems original to me as of now. Will update further after changing strings after a week. Pics attached.

A light weight racket with high tension.Pros:Light weight.High strung tension.Since it light weight its easy to control (I mean easy to control with wrist)Cons:Have to apply more power to Smash since it light weight.Small scratch on the racket which stops me giving 5 rating.String was broken after few games.Thanks for SunriseTnT for helping to identify the genuinity.

I am a club player with Tennis elbow issues. Have been using voltrics. Wanted a feather weight racket to comfort my elbow plus I am not a fan of nano ray series. This is perfect for me, I enjoyed my first day. Shuttle reaches baseline and racquet has brilliant control. Great part is the stock strings, they are very good surprisingly which is not the case otherwise. With right technique you can hit powerful smashes.

I buy Yonex astrox smash because I want a really light weight racquet . I shift from Yonex carbonex 7000. I must say if you are beginner don't go for this or a racquet like nanoray . I also use racquet like carbonex 6000,7000,8000,nanoray,muscle ray and many other . If you are beginner go for carbonex 7000. Racquet like nanoray, astrox smash their heads are light and you don't able to generate power for smash. If you are intermediate go for astrox smash not for nanoray . Nanoray 18i is also good racket but light weight of astrox you more like.these racquet are also not that strong if you hit the ground 4-5 times they just Brock except all carbonex series ...

One of the best affordable bar For beginners/ intermediate level players. You can easily manipulate your shots. Also good for playing attacking game. You can deliver powerful smashes without straining your shoulder much. I was using Yonex Voltric 7 and developed shoulder pain on playing smashes. But my overall game improved after using the new bat including defence and offence.

Hi there,I have been using this racquet for last 2 months and this racquet has performed great in most of the scenarios.Light Weight:Being an intermediate player I have used several other racquets too but hands down this racquet is the lightest of all.Pros:Being a light weight racquet the movement of this racquet is balzing fast. You can instantly feel the difference in game. You can pick some unexpected shots from it.Being a head heavy racquet with this light overall weight is just brilliant. You will experience more steeper shots from this racquet.I would recommend this to doubles players mostly.Cons:Being light weight works in negative aspect also, the long clears and backhand from this are not that powerful.So for single's players this racquet would not be the best choise.Stringing/Tension:The default strings provided are very low quality and very loose you would need to change them after a week's play.Highest string tension supported is 28 lbs. I have applied 26 lbs with BG65 titanium and it works really good.Overall this is a very good racquets for intermediate and beginners. Go for it 👍

An upgrade from musclepower series and carbonex series racket . A lighter racket, good tension in the strings . However gripping needs to changed to towel grip preferably over cushion grip as originally it is heavy headed (Just what I feel it depends on your preference). Have read some comments about strings breaking , faced nothing of that sort (fingers crossed). I would say best in this price range.

This product was made in CHINA.So we are clear about the quality.Personally I think if you are under 2k budget this is a good choice to buy.It is head heavy racquet for adding extra power to smashes.Very light at 73gm for easy dropping.Packaging was horrible, the head was scratched and cover was torn out when delivered.I gave 4 stars due to horrible packaging.Expecting to play with it for atleast a year.

I was delighted at its look and very light feel but one of the rackets just broke in half after couple of family games. I chose Yonex as it had mostly positive feedbacks and so went ahead even though I had to pay additional duty. Absolutely disappointed.

Well balanced, light with a good grip.

The smash aspect isn’t actually so insane, however gives a nice Steep angle, it lacks power which is lost in the light weight. The grip is uncomfortable in my opinion but most shots expect clear and smash are done pretty well. For the price it’s fine, good for beginner and intermediate players.

Rackets nice & light but the strings ain’t the best,need tensioning up a bit

This is a great, light raquet for the price for my 15 year old son who wants to take his game to the next level.
