these are some beefy little 8's...the magnet is damn near as big around as the business end...got them wired to 4ohms each, slapped into boxes around .75 cubic feet of volume plus or minus...and hooked them up to a rockville RPA16...should give each speaker about 1500 watts rms to play with...yes, they make some good noises...they are 8's, but nobody told them that...my boxes are sealed boxes so i get a little extra punch out of them in the kick drum region...they hold their own sitting next to the skar evl 15's...haven't had to put more than half the amp's juice into them to achieve noises such that I couldn't blame the neighbors for calling the authorities...the drum and bass techno music i subject the speakers to comes out of these 8's loudly and crisply...i am inclined to recommend these to anyone looking for a sub that won't take up tons of space but still satisfies the bass lover in you...they're probably a little less tamed than mine in a ported box but they still get down in a sealed box for sure....you just need to make sure you got the juice these little monsters need to run right...it all makes sense when you see the magnet end...my review will be updated should there be any changes, but don't hold your breath...these things rock

Have this sub in a prefabbed box in my crew cab truck. Sounds really good and no complaints whatsoever.

I can't even turn this thing all the way up. Have 750w on it and it's an animal. Good brand and product for 1st time trying them. Quality looks outstanding and it really has great bass for such a small sub. Used with the CT Sounds box and it slams.

I knew from the time I opened the box that this was going to be a great sub! The packaging inside the packaging was a testament to the company’s commitment to delivering a quality product! The magnet is absolutely obscene and I only got the MESO-8, the basket is solid as they come, the surround is thick and robust, the spider is the sturdiest I have seen! The terminal posts and voice coil termination to them is so overly engineered! I built a ported box, gave it a stable 1ohm 800w and it plays beautifully. It has only been hooked up a day as of this post, but I never write reviews and this is worth every penny and every minute to write this! I honestly could not have predicted that this 8 would play so low!!! I purchased the 8 to give the stock system a little love! Now I personally want to upgrade the rest of the system trying CT components and amplifiers when we get to that stage! This car is my commuter for work, one hour each direction so I just listen to everything, it plays everything! Thank you CT for making a great product!

I am a novice when it comes to car audio but definitely consider myself a “bass head”. I decided to purchase 2 meso 8” subs and I am not disappointed! I can’t believe how punchy these subs are. It’s like someone is hitting my car with a sledgehammer. I typically just throw a budget system in my cars but decided to step up just a bit from the $75 woofer. I include this because someone with more experience may not agree with me. I was looking at the sundown 8” x series but decided to save a few hundred plus I had already purchased the CT sounds dual 8” box and the 1500 CT Amp. Both the box and the amp would have not paired well with sundown so I backed out of that purchase. Regardless if sundown subs had more power I do not believe I can handle more than the meso 8” on a daily Do not hesitate on these! I am amazed at the power and can feel every note.
