DOES NOT WORK
Only gave 5 stars for attention:DO NOT BUY THIS. The trunk button did not work after programming, then the key crapped out entirely 24 hours later.

Works fine.
I purchased this for my 2017 Corolla and it works, no problems. This key will need to be cut and programmed before use. My local hardware store cut and programmed the key for $80. Took about 20 minutes. You will need to have the car with you as they need to plug into the OCD port under the dash. If you are going to order unprogrammed keys from Amazon I would suggest you scout out in advance where you will get the key programmed and cut and the cost. Between the price of the key and cut/progam I have $130 into this. Toyota wants $129 for the key alone plus whatever labor they charge so the is a cost effective option. If you only have one key for your car, I highly recommend you purchase an extra now. A friend of mine lost the one and only key to his work van when he was at a jobsite. It cost almost $300 to have a locksmith come out and make a new key and that was on a weekday afternoon.

❗️DO NOT BUY ❗️
This is probably the most useless product I have bought from Amazon I should have headed in the opposite direction when I read the reviews. Upon arrival, I scheduled a professional cutting and programming service. Upon completion, we noticed the 'open trunk' button was defective and not working. All other features were fine, and the key started the car. Fast forward to the next day, the key would not start the car. Upon an attempt, it will make a terrible noise as though I was trying to kickstart the car battery but it would not start. I have contacted Amazon customer service in hopes of getting a refund. This is a defective product, and I would rather take my chances buying a key at a dealership.

Saved me about $250
The media could not be loaded. I brought this key FOB it came with the programmable chip, I brought it to a dealer in NC while I was on vacation (because the dealers in NYC will rip you off) , the technician, removed the old chip on my old key FOB that broke off from the key (which caused me to carry the key and tap the ignition every time to start the car), he installed the chip into this key FOB, cut the key and charged me $13 bucks. Gotta love small towns, the key fits perfectly, ultra high value for money , very durable, and im sure it would be programmable by a dealer but you can NOT program by yourself no matter what they say. Great replacement part very satisfied. Will by another one since my wife drives my car now.

Replacement Key Fob
This replacement key fob was programmed by a locksmith to replace a lost key fob. The only function that would not program is the trunk latch. It does not work.

Requires Toyota Dealer Programming
Works and certainly worth the price, the only issue is the nature of the programming requirements. This is not an issue with the key itself, but Toyota's security features related to the vehicle immobilizer requiring a Master Certified Technician going through the company's process to program additional keys; it is impossible for a locksmith or the owner to program the key themselves any longer - the remote access yes with the right code tool, but the car will not start and you will be disappointed. Save yourself some money finding this out the hard way by going to the locksmith and paying service fees for nothing and having to go to the dealer anyways. This aftermarket key is still worth buying as the Toyota OEM keys are well over $100, and this is extremely budget friendly, and you will spend half as much even after the programming fee.
