Totally works!! Great quality and great color match. Totally bargain for the price. They even provide 2 extra pen tips for future applications. It was super easy and you cannot tell there is curb rash on my rim. I also used it to touch up a few other small paint chip spots on my rims (maybe from car wash, not sure, but can't see them anymore!). If you look for the curb rash, sure you can tell it's been touched up when looking up close, because it's not perfectly smooth like the rest of the rim. Any other distance away, you cannot tell. Trust the reviews. The people complaining have deep curb rash that is so deeply scratched, like they want a restoration in a bottle... come on! Even so, if you did not succeed to fully paint it (yea I saw the one guys photo that looked like he did it with a sharpie lol), you're not using it correctly. I've never done this before and I could have 100% fully painted that with this pen and have no silver showing thru whatsoever! I am a woman with no kind of experience with doing any type of work on cars, besides cleaning my own car. This really is not hard and totally worth it. Btw, you don't really need the tape, however it is helpful to find the spot you had touched up (to see if you need another coat). Trust me, I did a spot without tape and couldn't find it after, which is a good thing! And no the tape doesn't stick well, idk why there are complaints about that? Why would you want tape fully stuck to your rim? It does however stay in place if you use small pieces, which you need small pieces anyhow when making a curve pattern. Edit: if you need to touch-up again, it is best to do a thicker coat, rather than attempting 2 thin coats. Apparently, dry paint on metal wants to wipe off during the second coat. I've had this for a few months now and the paint is still good. I've kept it stored upright, just in case. If you need to do another touch-up, change the tip, don't bother trying to use the old one. Still a great product!

This stuff works great! I had a small scratch on a black wheel of a rental car. I had only a day to fix it. I overnighted this kit to myself and was able to fix the scratch on the wheel. I didn't use all of the kit. I just isolated the scratch the the tape, smoothened out the area, and used the pen to apply multiple coats. It takes much longer than you anticipate or they say. The paint takes a while to dry; so, multiple coats take a long time. But, it works. At first it looks shiny because it's not dry. But, once it dries, it looks great. You have to be really looking closely to find the repair.

Was a little worried while working with this product as it seemed like really cheap stuff, but it turned out looking great! Can't tell the wheel was repaired!

Curb rash on 3 wheels. I ordered this one product because it was on sale and I figured if it was a bad purchase, then at least I tried it and it was on sale. I'm glad I bought this. It did wonders on my wheels. I have the OEM wheels and so the Ice Silver was a perfect match. I was able to sand down most of the curb rash on all 3 wheels. On the 3rd wheel, the rash was give or take 8 inches long and deep into the wheel. I used roof siding to finish that wheel off since the product sanding block had run out. I was careful with using roof siding but it did the trick since I did it slowly. I followed the instructions with the paint pen. Shook it, and blotted the tip on a piece of cardboard. I covered the scratches with 3 coats, waiting 10 minutes in between the coats. Car sat in the garage for 2 days and removed the tapes around the painted areas. I was happy with the finished product. Like others have noted, up close, you can see the "cover up" of the job done but for me, the most noticeable wheel was the one that had the long and deep curb rash. But from far away, my wheels looked curb rash free and I've already forgotten how bad they were looking prior to me using this product. I give this product 5 stars because I was able to use roof siding to finish sanding down my last wheel. The products sanding block is small so if you have multiple wheels that need sanding, and they are long and deep, I suggest your order 2 of these or buy another sanding product to be able to finish off the sanding. I think the pen is enough to paint over with multiple times. Hope this review helps you.
