Tales of Sasha 1: The Big Secret

Finally! An easy chapter book series with an exciting plot!
My daughter is in the second grade and reads right at the low bar for grade level (Magic Treehouse is sightly too difficult), so we struggled to find chapter books that have easy vocabulary, hold her interest, and have more than one book in the series that she can get into long-term. These books do all of that! I now have a reader! My daughter loves reading these books, and they have drastically improved her ready speed and ability! I highly recommend them! There are currently 10 in the series and an 11th on the way in July!

Adorable characters
I've purchased this book twice as gifts for younger kids and they have seemed to enjoy them. (Part of a longer reading set.)*The pictures in the book are not colored. They are black and white.

Daughter named Sasha
I bought this book for my soon to be 1 year old daughter named Sasha. I believe there will be long term benefits to her seeing and hearing her name while I read the book. I also have a 9 year old son and wanted him to get involved in reading to the baby. This book exceeded my expectations and I was very surprised by the Big Secret. I plan to buy other books in the series and of course keep these as my daughter gets older so we can read them together when she is the appropriate age. Thank for making this book!

7 yo approved read!
My seven year old enjoyed the read. While the text was not at her reading level, the pictures throughout made it very accessible. She enjoyed the characters and events in the book, especially as the main character Sasha comes into her own. She’s looking forward to reading more in the series and really recommends it to other young readers.

Great series for K-3
This is a great series for beginning chapter book readers. The guided reading level is about a J. I highly recommend this series for k-2. There is a picture on almost every page. You'll enjoy too if you read them to your child.

Cute story
This is a really cute book, and was easy enough to read with a charming story that kept my 6 year old captivated on a long car ride.

Great earliest chapter book for girls!
My daughter really enjoys these books. She is currently on reading level N (end of 2nd grade reading level) and has been able to read these independently since she was at H or so. These are very early chapter books. They have just enough pictures to break up the text enough. The picture s are in black and white. They are a bit easier than the Rainbow Fairy series. I can be hard to find girly reads on the right level for my girly girl. This was a great pick!
