Narrow 1/2 NPT fittings (3/8 opening)
This could be an awesome hose, but I am disappointed. You buy a biga$$ hose like this so you can have 1/2" all the way through. The 1/2 in NPT fittings have a stretch of 3/8 opening - why is it so narrow? I do not know. The tekton 50ft apparently was not available when I ordered this one. Otherwise seems to be a well built hose.Update - ordered the Tekton 1/2" 50ft hose - it is about 1/8" greater in outside diameter (measured with dial caliper) but inside seems to be the same. The fittings are a bit larger than the Avagard but not as much as I had thought - neither are 1/2" all the way through - I can't get the caliper prongs down that far to measure but both seem to crimp the line down to about 3/8" - still much much larger than my goodyear 3/8" hose (which is 1/4" at the fittings). Airflow to my 3/4" impact wrench is greatly improved, so I upgraded the review.
