POC Tectal Race - Advanced trail, enduro and all-mountain bike helmet with aramid penetration reinforcement, a lightweight size adjustment system and MIPS protection

I bought this to replace a very old MTB helmet and I couldn't be happier. The colour scheme is a nice departure from the boring old black helmet.The first thing I noticed when I put it on it how much deeper it sits on my head, offering more more protection lower down. My old helmet didn't offer the same temple or rear protection. It's also extremely comfortable, the pads are excellent, and also easy to take out and wash. The peak is easily adjustable, turn the little "nut" in the middle of the peak and it has a small track inside the helmet to offer about 5 set positions. Great for those that wear goggles I suppose. It also has a rubber band at the back that can be undone, put your goggles strap behind them fasten it back up and it keeps the strap secure. Basically this thing feels so much safer, and with MIPS plus the other safety features that Poc build in, it gives me more piece of mind in the event that I need it to do its job.If I have to nit pick I'd say the only problem with it offering such great temple protection is that is may contact the arms of more chunky sunglasses. I also wear glasses, but they have slim arms so no contact issues there. Where I do notice a little contact is with with my riding sunnies, which are Rudy Project and have a slightly taller (not thicker) arm profile, so they rattle against the temple protection a little but I can live with that small niggle though. Oh, and it also comes with a nice storage bag, but its white and may need washing now and then!

Anyone who cycles should know the POC brand. I bought this helmet for cross country mountain biking. It provides great crash impact protection. It is adjustable so you can find your perfect fit. It is comfortable… doesn’t dig into your head etc. The adjustability ensures that it stays securely in place during your ride. Worth the purchase price. It is also not too heavy and also provides decent airflow to keep your head cool too.

This is a good quality product and a step up from the conventional cycling helmet. Having converted to ebikes I am aware of the greater speed and potential I crease in injury and wanted to upgrade, this didn't disappoint, particularly with the additional MIPS

Wanted this for a long time and finally bit the bullet. No regrets! Super comfortable, light and slick! Feels very secure on.

The helmet has a comfortable feel and importantly has a new safety feature to keep people safer in the event of a fall. The helmet looks cool too.
