Lovely Christmas read
It was lovely to meet up with these characters again & the story of Merry &Cole I could imagine Merry making her candles and the smell of them taking you to a different place in your imagination , I could relate to the dementia side especially with my mother in law , each year the cruel disease taking hold of her , we took an iPad showing her pictures from the past, her recognising times from the war years her face lightening up with each old picture , comes a story , I remember her telling us a story how she had bumped into Clark Gable in the street in the war years in Wallasey and yes it was true , us having to make calendars for her with pictures and writing down who we were , then came the day she didn’t remember us or anything just that confused frightened look sketched across her face , her asking my hubby “ am I your mother .?” We lost her last month now she’s at peace . I liked the storyline and was glued to how things would turn out for Merry wishing her a happy ending and loved the wise words of Astrid reminding us We should all celebrate who we are and not try to be someone else ! Such a lovely well written story which I thoroughly enjoyed , Merry Christmas Cathy

Cosy festive treat
First book by this author and loved it, will read more by Cathy. Was hooked from the first page, characters are likeable and I was rooting for Merry and Emily to both get a happy ending. The story builds and flows at a nice pace with some lovely descriptive scenes that evoked a cosy and comforting feeling.I really enjoyed it and found the ending satisfying.

Another fantastic festive Cathy Bramley novel
Well I had happy tears in my eyes by the end of this one, it's just so joyous and I loved every word of this wonderful book.Because Cathy Bramley is an auto read author for me, I never really look at her blurbs, so imagine my surprise and delight fairly early into the story when I realised it was a sequel to last year's Christmas release. It's no wonder I felt right at home with Merry, as I already knew her and Cole, and I am so happy to have been able to read the continuation of their story. And then the second character this book focuses on is Emily, who is brand new, and she was a complete and utter delight to meet too. She's involved in some key storylines, and deals with everything thrown at her so so well.I guessed fairly early as to how the stories might intersect and it didn't remotely detract from my enjoyment and seeing if I was right, as I was enjoying all of the characters so much, I just was engrossed in their stories. It's a story full of love, romance, some adorable children, a couple of utterly fantastic men, while at the same time shines a light on dementia too with Ray. Some of Ray's lines had me laughing out loud while also feeling for Emily, as she clearly is struggling with him.All set around a wedding being arranged within a few months, as well as Merry struggling with work-life balance, and also trying to work out just how she should be with Freya and Harley her about to be step children. There is a sprinkling of Christmas too - and a romantic gesture that made me swoon too. It's just everything you could want in a Cathy Bramley novel. Another triumph from a totally fantastic author.Thank you to Orion and Netgalley for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Such a lovely read
Feeling sentimental I bought this book to read on the run up to Christmas. I could have sat and read this from start to finish but things got in the way! A great read!

Love
I loved this book, following the lives of Merry and Cole getting together. Merry wondering if she will be a good stepmother as she didn’t have an easy life growing up. Then Emily comes on the scene with her dad Ray. I have just had the experience of my mum going into a home so I was most taken with the whole story. A must read may need a tissue but beautiful
