I used SAM-e for twenty-four years with excellent results for joint health and mood support. It worked better than prescription anti- depressants. Lately I have developed acid reflux. I do not know if SAM-e is related to that but I did take a deep dive into the literature on it and it looks like long-term use of is suspected to cause gut issues in some. So I am titrating off of it now.

This had begun working great for me after about a week. I started feeling more like my old self and even my sleep returned to its regular routine. However, this did not last long. My body developed stomach issues with prolonged use, so I stopped. Needless to say, even though my stomach normalized, my undesirable symptoms returned. So, I tried again, this time halfing the tablets and taking it with a light snack, hoping it would avoid causing my stomach pain. Although I was able to go longer, the stomach issues still came back. So, I had to give up. This is not for me, but everybody reacts differently. I would still suggest this to people I know, just letting them know it can lead to stomach pain, because I did start feeling like my normal self in the beginning of use. It could work for someone else, hence the four stars rating.

This is a great product that works well for me. My moods are stabilized and joint pain is lessened.

I’ve been taking Sam-e for roughly 25 years and switched to this brand maybe 5 years ago when the NatureMade brand became too expensive. This brand works very well, not only to combat depression, especially during the winter months, but it also eliminates my knee pain when running. Because it was unavailable for a while, I tried another “all in one” brand that was supposedly the same strength as these and within about 8 weeks both my knee pain and depression returned. Thankfully, the Natures Trove brand became available again. Problem solved! I’d say it takes a week or two to start working with full benefits within a month. The price is significantly lower than other brands.

I love this product. Since I’ve been taking it I no longer have stiff joints that ache.
