Forever Home: A Dog and Boy Love Story

I read the comments about two dads. Since there are no words it is up to the adult to decide if/how they want to present this. I had no issue & concentrated on the child in the story becoming responsible enough to have a dog.My granddaughter takes her stuffed dog for walks so the little boy walking with his dogless leash was very well understood.

This is a picture book with the most adorable story and details for days!!! Love ❤️

One of most favorite authors Henry Cole has done it again!! A heart felt book with beautiful pictures to prompt questions. My 2 & 4 year old grandsons sat and looked as we discovered what was happening in this book with no words.

Just so parents are aware, the boy has 2 dads. My son and I stumbled into that and put the book back on the library shelf.

I was proud to give it as a gift.

This lovely book speaks volumes about a wish and the joy of finding a beloved fur-ever pet. Cole’s illustrations are luminous. I’m looking forward to bringing this beautiful story into my classroom and having my students create accompanying text.

This is an LGBTQIA pride book, just so you know before you unwittingly give it to your child or another as a gift. I skimmed through the first few pages and thought the book was cute, until I got it home and went through it with my young child. It’s more about the happy family with a boy and two dads rather than a story about a dog.
