Excellent taste; great consistency for sauce
I'm very pleased with these crushed tomatoes. They are priced just a little bit more than store brands/generics, but are far more flavorful. The consistency is thick, making it perfect for a nicely thick sauce. The flavor and consistency compare well with brands that cost far more. It is a product of Italy. An excellent canned crushed tomato that's a step beyond the store brands and doesn't break the bank. It's great to have on hand when fresh are not in season. Five stars.

Curious to try theseā¦.
When these dropped significantly in price I decided to try them. I was curious to see what āSan Marzanoā STYLE actually translated to. These are crushed tomatoes - my understanding is that DOP San Marzano tomatoes are WHOLE. To me these are reminiscent of the better quality non San Marzano tomatoes that are out there - a nice thick, bright red pulp. Sweet but tart. Lots of tomato flavor but Iām not sure Iād pay the full price as similar crushed tomatoes are equally as good for the same price as these were when a ādealā. At $2 a can Iād definitely buy these again. But if $3 or higher, Iād pass, as there are several brands just as good for $2 or occasionally less.

Wonderful for all sorts of winter dishes!
I keep these in the pantry year round, but especially during winter for all the stews, chilis, and soups that use tomato as the base in addition to the usual pizza and pasta sauce for a myriad of dishes we love. It is great to be able to have these delivered with our monthly subscription so that I never run out. These are almost as good as the Centos, and less expensive, so I can use more š.

Sent damaged cans.
Contents of four were fine but two must beTrashed as the cans were so dented its unsafe to use them. This happened before they were packaged and should not have been sent.

Tasty
These are very hard to find in my small, rural town so I ordered them from Amazon never thinking I'd use them up so fast. I've made sauce, stew, casserole, etc. I'll be ordering again! They add so much flavor to whatever you are fixing.

Badly dented cans!
This product is very good. I use it mostly for my gravy (sauce) and the results are always consistent. I gave it a 3 because of the condition of the cans. Four out of six were dented so badly I had to throw them away. The package was in excellent condition so I assume they were in that condition before packing. I donāt purchase dented cans. I would hate to stop purchasing because of that! Very disappointed.

Good Value
The "other brand" I used to buy at Luckys are $8 a can and we use a lot of these San Marzanos. I can't tell the difference, they get shipped to my door, and are $2.16 a can instead of $8. I'll save $6 on each can all day!
