Peppers on hand in every season.
I just love it. So many times, the peppers at the store are shriveled and they still want a fortune for them. With these dried peppers, I always have them to add to my favorite dishes. The flavor is great. The texture is, too, but you have to make sure they’re cooked through. If I’m using them in soup, they can just simmer along with everything else. If I’m using them some other dish, I often give them a bit of a boil (say, ten minutes or so), and then chuck them into whatever I’m cooking.

SO HAPPY TO HAVE THESE
They are WONDERFUL! I add to sauces and soups, and they aren't overpowering, but add just that touch of fresh pepper sweetness. I am unable to eat the regular peppers due to tummy issues, but I now have thee and will keep them always in supply.

So good
I've been making veggie soup with this. One of my favorite things about it is that there's still something decent to eat if we run out of fresh veggies, etc, and haven't gone to the store. I would much rather snack on an improvised vegetable soup or stew than some high carb / high oil manufactured food. My other favorite thing is that it's just delicious.I pour boiling water over the dried veggies, add some soy sauce and/or fish sauce, maybe bonito flakes (or sardines... I know, I'm weird), some cilantro, dried/fresh mushrooms, perhaps a dash of sriracha. I like sour soups and good probiotics, so once it cools I'll add a bit of live vinegar. That's also the time to add miso paste, which I de-pastify in lukewarm water first to make it easy to mix.Oh, also my cats are carnivores obviously, but they're supposed to have about 7% fiber in their food. I use the cat-safe dried veggies (eg: no onions) for that... just mix it with whatever raw ingredients they're eating and store it in the fridge. They seem pretty happy about that, in a cat way.Anyway, there are so many directions you can take a soup or stew starting from one of these dried vegetable mixes. Add powdered celery to make it really really celery-y. Or dried tomatoes for a sweeter, richer taste. Beans, lentils, peas, etc. It's actually hard to go wrong because the vegetables add so much good flavor. Especially, in my opinion, with a bit of 'umami' type flavor mixed in, and a bit of sour from limes, vinegar, etc.

The best I've bought yet!
I've ordered dehydrated peppers from 3 different sources over the years. This was by FAR the most vibrant in color, and the taste is fantastic! VERY generous amount of red peppers! I've posted a few pics to show you a comparison. The jar half full was from a different company. The second pic is just to show how beautiful they look when displayed with other colorful herbs and spices. I use them in so many things, especially chili. Usually dehydrated food never has the consistency or taste of fresh when reconstituted and used in recipes. These peppers are the exception. There's no way you can tell the difference. They retain their taste and color well when cooked. I also like the size compared to other brands I've used. You can actually see them in your food, and they don't break down like brands I've used from long term food storage sites. The amount of garden space you'd need to grow this many peppers is worth the price alone. I vacuum seal them in 1/2 gallon mason jars for long term storage. They'll last for 10 years sealed this way when stored in a cool, dark place. This year I sealed some in pint and quart jars along with other spices and dehydrated/canned food to give as gifts. Can't tell you how many compliments I've received on these gift baskets, ESPECIALLY the peppers. With increasing food prices, buying in bulk is still affordable and much cheaper in the long run, plus they make excellent gifts since most people don't think to store things like this.

Great flavor!
This is the best flavor you can add to your food. Easy to use, just sprinkle in whatever your cooking. A touch of zest. It’s freeze dried perfect to stay fresh in your pantry. Reasonable priced. I’d definitely recommend it. Yes, I’d purchase it again.
