WEICON TOOLS Stripper No. 5 Green Line | sustainable raw materials automatic wire from 0.2-6.0 mm²

This is an easy to use and efficient wire stripper. Works beautifully on smaller diameter cables, leaving nice cleanly stripped insulation. There's a small cutter under the main grippy/strippy bit to cut the cable, then you can strip the insulation using the trigger action stripper itself. This features a nice easy to set scale, to set exactly how much insulation you want to take off. I found it to be easy to set, and repeatably accurate. The tool is also very lightweight, but still feels pretty solid. This is part of Weicons 'green line', which is made of bioplastics, with a pile of other environmental considerations: From Weicon - The material used: ►is based on plant oils, natural waxes, fibres and minerals ►goes through a closed CO2 cycle and is recyclable ►is largely produced without the use of the finite resource crude oil ►has polyamide-like characteristics ►is produced CO2 neutrally and with renewable energy So this is all good responsible and ethical stuff. I like this stripper a lot, it's easy to use and works great. The only minor reservation I have is it's price... currently £26.99 as I write this. However, it's made in Germany, so it's not travelling 6000 miles to get here, its manufactured from recyclable and environmentally conscious materials, and functionally its really good. Recommended.

Spelafili comoda e ben fatta, la struttura e in plastica di buona qualità. L'impugnatura è comoda e ben fatta, non ci si stanca anche se la si usa per diverso tempo. Sulla parte dove spella i fili troviamo un fermo in plastica per regolare quanti millimetri di cavo andremo a spelare, una volta regolare in base alla necessità il fermo rimane stabile e consente di ripetere la stessa misura su tutti i cavi che andremo a spellare in seguito. Sulla parte alta dell'impugnatura troviamo anche la tronchesina per tagliare i cavi, funziona molto bene e taglia cavi da 6mm senza sforzi. Una cosa che ho graditi molto è che quando la pinza non è in uso la tronchesina è coperta per evitare problemi di qualsiasi tipo, per utilizzarla dovremo premere leggermente sull’impugnatura e questa aprirà la tronchesina che poi potremo usare per tagliare i cavi. Funziona molto bene sia su cavi spelati sia su cavia che ancora hanno la guaina protettiva. La qualità generale è ottima, spela alla perfezione i cavi e il fermo per la misurazione è molto comodo. Sono molto soddisfatto!
