As good as the factory power adapter that came with my HP Pavilion laptop
Working perfectly on my ~10 year old HP Probook 440 laptop. The battery charges just as for the original power adapter that came with it.

Perfect replacement or backup
I had lost the charger for my HP laptop in a recent move, and ordered this one hoping it would work. It's been excellent, and even though I eventually found my original, I'm still keeping this one as a backup. I highly recommend it if you need it.

Does not fit the Envy 17 model
The Plug from the charger is a different size; they look somewhat similar in design but one is bigger (HP’s) and this one is smaller. It may fit some Envy’s bur or does NOT fit mine (Envy 17)
