Perfect Starter Shoe!

If you like lace-up climbing shoes, these are the ones! Do not slip or untie. Buy a half size down is my advice.

I started bouldering roughly 1 month before purchasing these shoes; before that I wore rentals. These were a vast improvement. Took off 1 star because of the second issue below. The sizing was almost perfect, but the shoes have a tiny bit of extra space for my toes. I can only emphasize the importance of trying on the shoes before you buy them, as you may not have the same issues as I do. Sizing (Purchased size 44.5 M EU): I wear size 11 sneakers usually, which have a good bit of space for my toes. I have had discomfort in the past with shoes being too narrow for my feet, and have worn Asics for the past 10+ years because they fit just right. The TarantuLace shoes fit almost perfectly, with just a tiny bit of extra space (~1cm) in front of my big toe. If I tighten the laces snugly, the extra space is less of a problem, but I can sense a problem when on tiny holds. That said, I am climbing at a lower level (currently doing v3s) and will wait a while to purchase new shoes as my technique improves and I wear these out. Fits snugly on my heel and is the perfect width for my foot. Roughness on heel: The loops (not sure if these have a name) on the heel that you use to pull the shoe on or hang them are a rough texture and extend inside of the shoe. The shoes aren't supposed to move on your feet--though I doubt you can truly get zero movement at all--but the rough texture started giving me blisters on my heels very quickly. Normally this would disqualify the product for me, but since I was lazy and ordered these online before trying them on, I could either return them or deal with it. I chose to deal with it, as the shoes fit pretty well otherwise. I pulled out my mom's sewing kit and carefully cut out the threads where the loops were attached on the inside of the shoes, then sewed them onto the outside. The shoes are marginally harder to put on with the loops on the outside, but they are very comfortable once I have them on.

Fit like a glove and have ABSOLUTELY enhanced my confidence, ability, and safety while indoor wall climbing.

These are reminiscent of old-school shoes that offer both comfort and performance.

For climbing shoes I usually get 1 to 1-1/2 sizes smaller than my street shoes which are 10-1/2 to 11. I first received these in size 9.5 and they were too long with room in front of the toe. Then I tried size 9. My toes were just touching the front of the shoe which for me is still too big. Finally the size 8.5-9 ended up being what I want, the toes a bit scrunched and not comfortable off the bat, but with the shoes being leather they will stretch with use and become molded to my foot size. Great shoe for the money!

Always used rentals before. These shoes helped get me from being stuck at 5 10s to 11+ and project 12s

They say these are beginner shoes, but after trying multiple brands and models, I just keep returning to these, rocking them for years. They are so comfortable, even after wearing them for hours: the gain with the more agressive ones just doesn't justify the struggle wearing them. At least not for me. They will serve you well at least up to 6c, maybe 7a routes

Great beginner shoe, my only regret is that I didn't downsize more. I downsized roughly half a size to one size depending on the brand. Great climbing shoe and I've heard this shoe is very durable.

Hatte schon eine Menge Kletterschuhe, aber in meinem Fall und für mich ist dieser Schuh der Beste, den ich jemals hatte. Habe einen ziemlich breiten Fuß und hier ist der Schnitt für mich optimal. Auch der Preis ist super. Habe am Felsen und in der Halle damit eine gute Reibung. Auch die Optik dieses Schuhs sagt mir sehr zu.
