When I first spotted these on Amazon, they looked great. These had to be better than the usual replacement earpads for Sony headphones. AND, so far they are better. They are 'slightly' more firm, which right now is better, because the temps here are hitting 100 degrees everyday, and ears sweat. I literally had tossed these headphones, Sony V300's, into storage, and left them to die after putting several iterations of pads on them. We will see how it goes, but so far the price point is great, and the fit is great. BUT, one downside, be patient putting them on. I have other Sony pro headphones, and those are easy to change. These are a fit tight, because they are small, and requires some extra time and good two handed dexterity getting them around the speaker. I just read someone else gave up. Take a break, turn on the TV, get a drink, and breathe. Take your time. Worth it.

After having bought both versions of the product for the Sony CH-510, I have come to an important and clear conclusion about the brand and this product.The synthetic leather version provides better passive insulation, which gives the sensation that the headphones sound better than with the ear cushions that come from the factory. This is because it is a slightly wider ear cushion since it has more padding, which makes it more comfortable to use for longer periods of time. However, the disadvantage is that it can make you hot if you are not in air conditioning or in cool temperatures, so if you are a hot person, you should keep this in mind and see the next paragraph.The gel version provides a certain freshness since it is made of fabric and it seems that it is true that it comes with gel included since I proceeded to cool the pad according to the manual and the effect has lasted for several days. It should be noted that since it is a fabric pad, it does not offer the insulation effect that the synthetic leather one does, although the disadvantage is small, but noticeable.I think that this product is 100% recommended for those who want better audio quality in any of the compatible headphones, either for better passive noise cancellation, or so that prolonged use of headphones with pads does not cause them so much heat.

These replacement ear pads (red color) work perfect for my old set of Sony MDR-ZX100 Headphones. The original ones that came with the headphone were poor quality and faux leatherette fell apart after several months of use. These replacement ear pads are thicker and better quality than the original ones. The material is better quality and are thicker which I think will last a lot longer than the original ones.So far, I really like the quality of these ear pads as they are comfortable and sound quality was not adversely affected by their thickness to the original ones. I just placed another order for another set (white color) to replace the second set of the same styled white headphones.

Replaced the cheap flaking ear pads on my $20 wired sony headset and was a major improvement! Excellent quality. I went with the non leather ones which were $1 more and i would suggest that to anyone else deciding between the two types

I took a chance on there replacement pads and I have to say the gamble was worth it. I did go through the reviews before purchasing. And it is true what other buyers were saying. It's a little challenging to install the first one. Once you get the first one on, you'll know what to do for the next one. These new pads are definitely thicker than the original ones. They're just as comfortable as the original ones if not more since they are thicker. The L and R stamped inside the pads are a nice touch. Not needed but a nice add on. Sound quality is not affected at all. This might be my go to brand from now on.

I'm still trying to get these replacement pads for my Sony Headphones on without tearing them. I probably should've returned them, but they are listed as the correct model number to fit my headphones. I will try them again when I feel like taking a chance hoping they don't rip. Stay tuned. If I get them on and they perform as I'd expect, I'll remove this bad review.
