Two gigs with them and I'm sold
To be clear, these will never replace my favorite sticks. But even though I am generally not very heavy handed with my sticks and have learned to play with controlled dynamics, sometimes certain requested songs really need that "full drum" sound, but the volume standard set by the venue makes it difficult to use sticks. And I'm not a fan of using brushes, broom brushes, rutes, etc. purely for volume control as they shift the timber/tone of the kit significantly...and not all musical contexts lend itself to their effects. Thus enter these so called "Silent Sticks".What I like:1) They do their job while still allowing for a fairly full drum sound. Whether riding on the cymbal/hats, playing tom grooves, disco patterns, half-hat punk patterns...these sticks delivered. I even had folks come up and compliment me on how well the drums balanced well with the rest of the band and in the room. They would inspect my setup. The playing cut through the band, but did not overwhelm the venue.2) They are lighter than 7As, BUT they still have weight thanks to the rubber grips that make it feel like I am still swinging something.3) They retain a good rebound and don't feel dead on the strike. You can double stroke on it or do a hihat mohler technique easy enough.4) Aesthetically, I find them pleasing and professional looking. I know what matters most is the sound and handling, but this added cherry on top is welcome.5) It pairs well with the RhythmBytes Groove Lite small venue cymbals as well as my Paiste PSTX's. I can get doesn't crashes with them let alone decent riding sounds, too. However, be mindful of...:1) You can only really strike anything with the tip. For example, the abs plastic is a hollow tube, so to crash a cymbal with the shaft risks breaking it. It even warns you about that in the packaging. So as long as you use as intended by them, they will last. That said, I do get good crashing results with the tip...and if you pair them with thinner cymbals like Paiste PstX's you can have massive control over volume while retaining a good quality sound.2). My usual grip is traditional, but these sticks seemed to not work well with me in that group. So I switch over to match grip. No biggie. Traditional tends to get me a thinner result with them.3) With regular sticks, you can shift the timber/tone depending on where on the head you strike. With these ones, you are pretty much limited to staying at the center of the drum of you wish to maintain a good usable tone.4). Though you can do multi-stroke rules, I wouldn't generally advise it as the results sound too weak. Single strokes provide the tone I am looking for. So you'll get very comfortable doing 16th's on singles.5) To get the best tone, you do need to provide a strong stroke. All in all, they aren't my favorite sticks! But they are my favorite sticks for situations where I need to tame even my controlled playing. In fact, I will be ordering a new pair that way even if one breaks, I'll have more ready. It has become a necessary part of my toolkit.

Good sticks
Lightweight and well-balanced with a solid feel. These sticks are noticeably quieter on mesh and rubber pads, making them ideal for late-night practice. The material holds up well without feeling too soft or bouncy. A good choice for reducing volume without losing the natural stick response.

Quiet Enough
After using these sticks at practice and getting comfortable with them, I used them at a gig and found them to be quiet enough, more so than regular sticks. They are balanced and have a good feel.I did find that you can’t get a decent roll going as the nylon web at end of stick gives too much.I will use these for practice with the band, but have gone back to regular sticks and using sound dampening on all drum heads.

Acoustic and Electronic - miserable performance as drum sticks
Product is too light.....zero rebound. Worthless to me. If you are a drummer that plays primarily quarter notes and eighth notes and have zero arm strength and do not care about stick rebound, these may be ok for you. But if you depend on stick rebound for rolls, and play 16th notes or ghost/grace notes etc....this is not going to cut it.I purchased a set of both the sticks for acoustic kits (black) and the sticks for electronic drums (blue) The sticks for the electronic kit were so light that often the hit would not trigger (so, even though you tapped the drum, the sound did not register....and my pad threshold is set to 1 on a scale of 32-so it should register the slightest tap). There is zero rebound - so no bounce....many drummers depend on the bounce for stick control....only exception is that the sticks worked well on my ride cymbal....but so do my nylon tipped sticks so no points there.Personally, I would get more satisfaction from purchase of a $1 cigar and using the other $50 I spent on these to light the cigar (and I don't even smoke)They are quiet...but they will cramp your style to such an extent you will never use them. So, I guess they will last forever as well as you won't use them. haha

Great idea, DIDN'T PASS MUSTER!!!!!
I was excied to try these sticks as I liked the promise of 50% decress in volume. After about 5-6 times of practicing with these sticks the Loop at he top of one of the sticks jumped out of the stick. How frustrating! Now if I TRY to practice with them I have to squeez the loops back in only to have them jump out again. It happends in the middle of practice and I have to stop what I am doing to look for the loops. One does not like to have undue distractions during practice. The sticks are a bit light but they feel pretty good. Now if they could only figure out a way to keep the loops from coming out of the holes? It would almost be worth the $24 I spent. I even bought another pair for a friend. Frankly $24 is too dam expensive for something that will break after 5-6 times used. No problems with the seller. They delivered these on time no problem. If ADORO could improve this concept so these will be more durable and decrease this $24 to something more reasonable, I would say they got something there. But not yet. It is a perfect time for another manufacturer to jump on their concept and make something that works better. I wanted to love them. They just didn't pass Muster. I hope they figure it out soon.
